Hey guys, I'm going to paint some Emperor's Children chaos space marines soon, but I don't know what citadel base paint to use for the golden trim on their shoulder pads and other details. Should I get Balthasar Gold or Warplock Bronze? I've heard warplock bronze being recommended for chaos a lot, but I think it may be too dark for what I'm going for.

What do you guys think?

Lets try to not make more chaos gods, ok guys?
I'd call this thread a trainwreck, but trainwrecks are legitimately horrifying to watch. This is hilarious.

I love Warplock Bronze... but I use it as a base for the dirty copper trim of my Death Guard. I think you are right, that it will be too dark for a 'clean' gold.

I've always found bronze and brown to be a great basecoat for golds. I'd go with the bronze

I find the Balthasar Gold to work really well, as it a very nice bronze colour and covers very well.

Thanks for confirming what I was thinking. I'll go with Balthasar Gold then.

Have a great day!
