Hi,
I'm starting to paint some Noise Marines and some regular CSMs with the Mark of Slaanesh, but the main colour scheme is the Black Legion one.
However I do not really love the usual black and pink colour scheme of Noise Marines, so I was wondering if an Emperor's Children pre-heresy scheme would be appropriate for them.. something like this:

The codex clearly states that Noise Marines do wear bright colours, and a dark purple/violet is not exactly bright. But is indeed a colour that can be associated to Slaanesh. So, what do you think about it? After all the first Noise Marines were all from the Emperor's Children chapter...

For what regards the second question, how do you suggest me to represent the Mark of Slaanesh on the regular CSM? I do not have any idea... I don't think I'm good enough to paint it by hand on the shoulder :/ Unless you know some trick to make it simple...

If you like it then do it. Personally i prefer the purple over the pink too.

I don't know how strickly you want to follow the black legion background. What i personally would do is paint them black and purple. Enough black that they still look fitting for black legion but will stand out with the purple.

Regarding your slaanesh marked marines do something so that they stand out next to your non marked ones. If they stand out enough on the table i don't think that any opponent will say something against it.
You could do something similar to your noise marines and add some purple to them. As they won't carry noise weaponry around they should be different to both normal marines and also your noise marines.

Another option is a GS pressmold to avoid freehanding details. Find a suiteable slaanesh symbol or sculpt it onto your marked models yourself. Then create a pressmold to recreate the details with GS. I've done this with my custom loyalists chapter symbol successfully.
