Subject: Lamenters and SoB fluff
|
 |
Hardened Veteran Guardsman

Background: My wife likes the SoB and has recently taken a shine to the Lamenters
Question: Is a combined SoB/Lamenters/Inquisitorial army list possible? I would think so, since the Lamenters gave their battle standard to the Sororitas to mend, and post Penitent Crusade, there might still be some lingering Inquisitorial doubts even after the Space Marine Chapter Conclave absolved them after the Penitent Crusade...
Would the Lamenters be willing to let Inquistors hang out with them to show how loyal they are?
Additionally, what would the force mix be, fluff wise (not looking for a competition build) but I was thinking that two squads of Sisters and maybe an Inquisitor with each company? Also, AFAIK the Lamenters are a small, almost dead Chapter with ~300 marines left...is that correct.
Thanks.

Grey Knights 712 points Imperial Stormtroopers 3042 points Lamenters 1787 points Xenomorphs 995 points 1200 points + 1790 points 770 points 369 points of Imperial Guard to bolster the Sisters of Battle

I always thought the Lamenters were around 200 marines, but I don't know for sure.
And even if they wouldn't like hanging around with an Inquisitor, they'd have to if the Inquisitor ordered so.

Lamenters will lament over everything, but nobody will care. Why do you ask

They can hang out. The question is simple. Would the Sisters of Battle like to hang out with such a chapter. One that weeps a lot and such.

The lamenters porbably wouldnt go woith SOB, for two reasons:
1.SOB don't like BA or any of their succesors after they had their little fight
2.The Lamenters are rumored to have found a 'cure' to the flaw, but they have isolated themselves, they didnt even respond to Baal's distress call (and even the Knights of Blood did)

I thnk this would work nicely - the Sisters and a Inqusitor as "Guardians" of their purity, ever watchful for signs of deviaition would be very fluffy - a few oversseeing Inquisitors as well.
