Thin styrene rod is probably what you are after.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Styrene rod, or large grain "sand" ( drill into surface with very fine drill, add a dot of PVA, insert granule) or the tricky one that also works, but tends to look aged/ rusted into place for all eternity: either Pva glue, or liquid sculpting medium, and a paper clip. Dab the tip of the clip or toothpick or thin wire into your substance, dab to where you want rivet. When dry, repeat. Repeat 3-4 times, or until satisfied.

This would be a good place to look.

Also, in the future you should refer to this. Of the things to note in that post is: "7. Please be intelligible. We strongly encourage proper punctuation, spelling, grammar and composition, but if we can't understand you, we'll ignore you."

If styrene rod isn't easily available to you, look around for things that could work. Cocktail sticks / toothpicks, the plastic ties used to hold tags into clothing and stuff, dry pasta (but you'll probably have to schlack it first so the paint doesn't soften it up), hair brushes, etc.

The chaps at FW use the little carban balls that come in domestic water filters (Britas and the like).

Carefully cut it open (there are thousand in there and they will go everywhere if you are not careful), then make a small siting hole one the model and stick one in,. Then nip off the top and voila you have a rivet. They showed it in the modelling masterclass book #1 - a fantastic read if you can get one.

Zinge insustries also sell strips of rivey/bolt heads.
