So, I'm busy doing some preliminary work on my Orks. Mostly assembly stuff. I've still got some tankbustas to convert, some Stormboyz, and my 'Ardboyz need a little more plates on them. While I have four trucks, I've yet to build either of my Battlewagonz.
So, in my spare time, I've been thinking about how I want to paint my Boyz. I've decided that I'll not be doing the traditional green skin. I've been mulling things over for about a month now and narrowed it down to two choices. The first is based around Burnt Sienna as the base coat.

Should I go this route, I expect I'll make them Bad Moons as the yellow and browns look nice together on a model.
The second option is to try a greyscale "Mr. Fixit" (Hulk comics) type look. I think we've all seen heacy hitter's
albino ork and that's what I am thinking for greyscale except for darker greys instead of all that white on the skin. I like the white and reddish brown everywhere else though. That model is a limited pallet masterpiece. But what clan to do for the greyscale? I've ruled out blue and heavy use of red as we see that too much already. If I go yellow for the brown ork scheme, I'd likely not want to use it for grey. Black would already be a shade for the metallics and actually is part of greyscale so that's likely out. I'm thinking I may wind up stealing more from Mr. Hitter than I'd like.
So, what do you guys think would work better as a non-green fleshtone for my orks? Burnt Sienna or Greyscale? Or is there another option that I missed that is pretty cool, too?
