The Ork Warboss sat on his throne of marine armour, with a few lazy Grots draped over his armrests. His pet squig, Facebiter, growled unhappily, sensing the anger in his master. The huge boss gnawed at a bone, and when he was finished, picked his teeth with it. He then threw it to the ground in rage and gave an almighty roar, silencing all of the orks in his hall. “I’ve ad enough of dis,” he spoke, quietly, but with an air of menace, “Too long ave we been waiting. We get fatter and lazier evry day we stay ere…” There was a long pause as the Warboss spat on the floor. Then, without warning, he stood up and shouted in his loudest voice, “Let’s stop some Umies!!!” The greenskins in the throne room roared in delight, and scrambled off to find their choppas. Warboss Grimskull sat down, and as he surveyed his emptying chamber, he gave an ugly smile. The Waaagh! Was being rebuilt.

After long hours spent being re-motivated and looking through Dakka’s hobby blogs, I have finally been inspired to make my own. I have played orks for about a year now, but never really got round to painting them. This blog will be a painting and modelling for a mighty ork army that I hope to achieve one day. So, without further ado, I introduce what I have painted on my ork horde:

Warboss Grimskull

Nobz

Da Grotz

Stormboyz

Group Shot

So, that’s what I’ve got for now. My current project is a squad of lootas, kit bashed stormboy Nob and some boyz. Comments and Criticism welcome. I know I'm not the best painter or modeller out there, but I really enjoy this hobby. Many thanks to Wazoo2000 and MrMerlin for inspiration, and their amazing talent. See ya for now!

Update
Here is my trukk, it is based on Wazoo2000's brilliant tutorial. Made of plasticard, still need to build up the walls and add details as soon as I get some 0.75 mm plasticard:

Boy backpack

A paint scheme test boy. Whaddayathink?

He flew from the sky, a grot in a spent missile pod. He crashed in the desert, came to us, ranting about the great war. The boyz thought he was crazy, but after having rebuilding his grot bommer, he was as happy as a squig in the sewers. But he kept calling himself The Green Baron of Mork, and answered to no other name...

My scratchbuilt grot bomer, might put him on a base and use him as a count as stormboy.
C and C welcome!

The painting looks like it is coming along. Your grots look really good. I know it is hard to get the painting done. I recently took an oath that I would do no more building or converting until I finished all (or most) of my painting.

Yeah, I would find that really hard... I like to jump from project to project. Good luck with your oath!

Update
I have managed to finish my lootas, 4 of them.

My brother has also 'lent' (with a few tears ) me a dinosaur capture thing, with huge wheels, and a platform thingie. See for yourself:

Any ideas on what I should turn it into?

I was thinking a battlewagon, and use the extra wheels for trukks.

Had exams last week and this week, so no updates. But holiday's are coming soon!

I have based the flying grot, the wall is made of cut up bits of sprue glued together. Still need to glue, paint, and might add a few guns or a squig hanging on. We'll see how it goes.

Right now, working on some ork MANZ made from AOBR termies, a stormboy nob and a painboy. Should be done soon.
C and C Welcome!
