This is something more along the lines of a fun side project for me, so if needed, feel free to tear this asunder. After all, the main reason behind it is that I want a cool warlord trait table of my own and hey...Sisters probably ain't gonna be getting that anytime soon. So anyway, first draft of these things, let's go!

1 - Emperor's Guidance: +1 to rolling to determine who sets up first/takes first turn.

2 - Steadfast Faith: The warlord and their unit may re-roll failed Acts of Faith within 3" of an objective.

3 - Holy Zeal: The warlord and their unit gain Preferred Enemy on any enemy unit within 3" of an objective.

4 - Blessed Fury: One use per game. The Warlord and their unit may use the Act of Faith of any unit currently on the table.

5 - Protection of the Emperor: The Warlord and any unit they join, improves their Shield of Faith save by 1.

6 - Beacon of Faith: Add 1 to rolls for Faith Points.

Not sure on the balance of them. I'd say the one that gets closest to being overpowered would be 5, so yeah, catching that ahead of time. And the names are terrible. ;p Tear away, Dakka.

1: Faith Bringer: At the start of your turn you generate an additional faith point.
2: Beacon of Faith: Warlord and any units within 12, add +1 to their dice roll when attempting acts of faith
3: Unbreakable Faith: Warlord and any unit within 12, roll an additional dice for leadership tests and discarding the highest
4: Guardian of Faith: The Warlord becomes scoring
5: War of Faith: Warlord and any unit within 12 gain Preferred Enemy (Warlord)
6: Cleanse and Purify: Warlord and her unit shooting attack have Soul Blaze.

Yes I know I need a better name for these as all but the last one use the word faith in them.

For army specific warlord traits id drop the "within 3 of an objective" main reason I say that is look at all the new armies with their specific traits. They all rock and roll with the army. Not just around objectives. I do like the ideas. Soul blaze is awesome sounding with sisters

I'd change trait 4 for one a tad different, bit like this:
'Blessed Fury: One use per game. The Warlord and their unit may use their act of Faith at no Faith Points cost.'

Not an expert on SoB, though.

No use of the Hatred or Crusader USRs?
Adamantium Will?

Seems like the first post ones are weaker than the rulebook ones. I like Necrosis' more.

I would make Unbreakable Faith fearless or Stubborn though.

What do you imagine Celestine and Jacobus' assigned ones would be?

I might add some fluffily, if focused ones.

Suffer not the witch to live: Gain an extra VP for every psychic character killed. Alternatively, PE(Psychers) for warlord/unit she joins

The Emperor protects!: The warlord and any unit she joins get a +1 on deny the witch rolls. Option 2, Boost the basic 6++ save to a 5++ save.

Is it wrong to want to see a little more anti-psycher witch burning from the SoB? I remember the days when taking a librarian vs. them was just pissing points away. I'd kinda like to see some of that come back.

Most of the warlord table have some situational a/o bad rolls. When making a new table, try to keep that in mind.

I also think these Traits have the most potential (Albeit with a bit less Faith in the names!).

I don't think Guardian of Faith needs to be in there though as it is a rulebook Trait. Perhaps make it so that the Warlord and her unit are Fearless near an objective?

Also I would like to see some kind of Trait that allows the Warlord and nearby units re-roll failed Faith Tests (although this may counteract Beacon of Faith a bit).

I think a unique act of faith added by Warlord Trait might be interesting.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I'm not as much a fan of the faith modifying traits, since our faith is kinda an afterthought at this point.

Oh god Emperor... Imagine a 10 Seraphim squad with 2 pair of hand flamers and St-Celestine calling their own act of faith AND the Retributor act of faith...

Five rending Template weapons that reroll to wound (Without counting the other 15 bolt-pistols shots), that sounds way too nasty to not be called cheese by your opponents!

You missed 3rd through 5th, evidently. Faith combos used to be ridiculous.

20 Redemptionists with 4 hidden Eviscerators. WBB on a 4+, Rending and +1 Att/Initiative on the charge plus an Init 10 free hit.

You cannot be more right than that! After an hiatus at the end of 3rd edition, I just unshelved my 40k army for some painting this January (and had time to play less than 5 game yet).

Good to know you can't mix Acts of Faith though, thanks

You actually can mix acts of faith nowadays it is just exceptionally rare because of how you do it. You would need to take a Canoness and attach her to a squad with their own faith act. Considering how lackluster Canonesses are...
