I'm close to finishing my 500 pt. Slaanesh team, and I'm already making a list for what I'd like to do next.

The fluff around Shadowsun seems pretty solid, and I'd like to make a 500 list around her.
But I don't know a thing about tau =D

currently I've come up with:

Hq:
Shadowsun + shield drone = 155

Troop:
2x6 firewarriors + shas'ui = 128

Elite:
Stealth team = 90

Heavy Support:
2xBroadside = 130

total would be 503. I don't have any drones, should I give up the second broadside to load out some of these choices?
I'm also more interested in making/painting these things, so the only thing I'm worried is that it wouldn't represent a good army.

HQ

2x10 Kroot + 1 Kroot Hound

Elite
Stealth Suits +TL and FB on 1

Heavy Support
Broadside with HYMP and Early Warning Override
Broadisde with HYMP

Comes in at 500 points on the dot,

Tactically, you can infiltrate most of the army or choose to outflank different parts. Most people don't like stealth suits because of what you are giving up, Riptides and Crisis Suits.

40K doesn't balance too well at 500 points but it is a solid enough list with some S8. S7, S5 and S5 shots. Everyone but the kroot are rather hard to kill. It also lets you paint a pretty varied amount of stuff, from Shadowsun and the Stealth suits to the organic kroot to the larger Broadsides. You can also expand from here, putting the kroot in one squad and picking up some FWs and Aegis to set up a firebase, and of course getting some Riptides!

Cool! Yes this is just what I was looking for. I was wondering if I'd take the kroot for the infiltrate ability already.

Yeah it won't be able to handle every list but it will be a fun stealth oriented list. Hope you have fun with it!
