Hi Dakka,

I'm trying to find the rule in the 6th BRB where all power weapons strike at I1, but can't find it. There is nothing in the Power weapons section that states that Power weapons strike at I1, and it is only the Unweildy special rule which makes hammers and powerfists strike at I1.

So, power swords, etc strike at normal initiative?

Thanks!

Poweraxes are Unwieldy.

To more directly answer your question, all power weapons strike at the normal initiative unless they have a special rule that says otherwise.

There is NO SUCH THING as MORE ADVANCED in 40k!!! There are ONLY 2 LEVELS of RULES: Basic and Advanced. THE END. Stop saying "More Advanced". That is not a recognized thing in modern 40k!!!!

Or if they are classified as unusual power weapon in the rule book... Eg The Emperor's Champion's (Templars) Black Sword, it is actually just a power weapon that gives +2S and has AP3, rather than a power sword... I think this rule also effects other character weapons such as Khorsarro's Sword... Both are described as swords, both used as two handed or as one, relic blades of the chapter etc, yet are to be counted as unusual power weapons...
