I glazed the armour like crazy and I think it turned out to be pretty close to a NMM red, so im really happy with that.

And overall i think everything turned out very good. Hope you like him.

This space marine head reminded me of the guy from doom 2 for some reason so i decided to use that for inspiration. For fun I put him into godmode

Here's the art from doom2 if you dont know what i'm talking about.

Armor looks fantastic, like real metal. The purity seal seems just a bit off to me though.

That's some nice work there, red can be difficult to highlight without it looking orange

Wow, that looks phenomenal. I love the contrast that the silver fists give to the red armor. However, did you think of maybe doing them in gold instead? The silver looks great, I'm just curious to see how gold would look.

I think the fists would look great in gold too. Red and gold is always a good choice.

The red is truly stupendous, I agree that the contrast on the purity seal is a bit too stark, however.

I think the blue could do with a couple more washes in the deepest recesses for me, to add a little definition to the rivets and such. Also, the silver is a bit too bright and garish for me, a wash of Devlan Mud (or an equivalent) and another highlight would do it for me, but that's personal opinion.

Top work, love it.

The blue is 90% airbrush work, it had alot of washes in earlier stages. I was thinking about it, but a wash now would probably ruin everything and put it back to square one. I have low confidence in acrylic washes these days.

Im pretty happy with how clean the airbrushing looks even up close. To give an idea, the librarian had half the budget of the red blood angel.

You could always blackline the armour if you don't want to use washes. Actually it looks like you've done that on the shoulder pads already lol

I got most of it. Like around the feet and such. Some spots have stronger shading than others.

Here's another librarian conversion, terminator this time. All the grey knights stuff either removed or filled in nice and smooth .

Absolutely stunning. I think i speak for everyone if i say i can't wait for more! moaaar!

Life is like a box of chocolates. A cheap, thoughtless and perfunctory gift nobody ever asked for. Unreturnable because all you get back is another box of chocolates. So you're stuck with this undefinable whipped mint crap that you mindlessly wolf down because there's nothing left to drink. Sure once in a while there's a peanut butter cup or a English toffee, but they're gone too fast and the taste is fleeting. So you end up with nothing but broken bits of hardened jelly and teeth shattering nuts. If you're desperate enough to eat those all you've got left is a. An empty box, filled with useless brown paper wrappers.

The Librarian is well painted, and I understand that it's a commission so it is dependent on what was paid for and what the customer wants. My own personal opinion though is that it looks a little plain, and almost barren. I don't know whether it is because of the limited palette, the large flat areas, or a combination of both.

Especially as I ran into your ebay auction/advertisement yesterday, I feel some feedback is warranted. The first guy looks great overall. The things that should be painted differently, are painted differently(IE: metals, blacks, etc). His armor just looks awesome, and the highlighting is great. The only thing that detracts is the piping behind his head in the backpack.

I agree with Dreadclaw on the librarians though. They simply look very plain. They need more detailing on them to stand out. The weapons need it(axes, bolter, and more could be done on the shield), the head on the jump pack libby needs it, the models themselves need it, and there are plenty of spots detailing could be added pretty quickly. I'd also change the purity seals to a non-silver color. Overall, I think they just need more variety on them. It's currently yellow, silver(but not detailed silver), lots of blue, and some great looking scrolls/books, but not a lot else. If nothing else, I'd paint the weapons with a bit more variety(add some black where the blades connect to the handles, for example), and I'd paint the wires/things that should be silver(or grey, or black, depending on preference on wiring).

The NMM on the Blood Angel is quite sumptuous - the look of it is really one-of-a-kind. Glorious work.

Looks great. I gotta say it though, the blue guys look wrong. The color is too basic, too normal, the armour looks dull and boring. It's an amazing blending no doubt, just try and make it appealing you know?
