I don't play Tyranids competetively, I play chaos.
I play nids for fun. But recently I've been devastating my opponents with nids, without expecting it at all.
When I play nids, I like to do something unexpected and different each time.
I've come up with a list, (it needs adjusting) to make a nids force mainly for objective based games.
Contesting objectives, slowing oppositons progression across the field. Using some unexpected tactics and the main objective here is to have a lot of fun making people scratch their heads.
I know the list is fairly weak at the minute, probably massively so. I was planning on doubling the amount of gargoyles (if i get another box) and adding a spore onto one of the termagants. Again, this isn't for competetive reasons, it's for fun.
A big issue here being the possibility tabled first turn. This is why the I brought the Tervigon, spawning more Gants, soaking up alot of fire. 20 gargoyles and 15 (+spawned) gants running forward, then second turn (due to hive commander adding 1 to reserve rolls) hope most things turn up, including deathleaper. Whatever else doesnt turn up, I can plant next to him without scattering. If everything DOES turn up, I can use deathleaper as scare tactics on an enemy vehicle. Dropping the rest of the stuff mid table, Aim for linebreaker with something. It's all abit vague and chaotic..
Anyway, I don't expect to win with this list all the time. I might get a few good games. I'm just writing this list to do something different.
Can you help me add more fun to this army? Or improve the particular tactic.
List to date.

I think you need to move to at least 1,750 before you can afford to play deathleaper. You will be much better running a second tervigon here and then the rest of the points on gargoyles. Otherwise Ok.

Perhaps you're right. I actually removed my 2nd tervigon from my regular line up just to play deathleaper as abit of fun.

spore mines! they mess up your opponents deployment if you can stick them in their deployment zone. plus, they are hilarious. heck, maybe even a biovore. but this reminds me a lot of my own list, except i use parasite of mortex with ripper swarms and sky-slasher swarms lol. have fun, deep striking nids usually is

Except for the new codices ( CSM and CD) a model cannot have both codex powers and BRB powers. It's either one or the other.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
Orks always ride in single file to hide their strength and numbers.

fair point, I don't think I've had chance to use Dominion anyway up until now.
I'll just use 2 Biomancy powers
Edit:
OR, shall I keep dominion and use the rest of the points elsewhere? Thoughts?

If you are only taking 2 powers (base power and one extra) then take catalyst. No sense rolling on biomancy as you are taking too great a risk not having FnP. You need all 3 powers to roll biomancy other wise you could end up with Life Leech and Warp Speed. It happens more often than not. You must have FnP at the very least. With all three powers you can hope to get Enfeeble, Iron arm and/or Endurance. The only 3 powers that actually benefit the tervigon.

That is a very good shout, I will do that. Cheers.
