As a side project I have decided to play a C:SM army and here is the link to the blog I recently started - http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/526889.page

I want to incorporate Assault Marines into my army but I am wondering how should I kit them up. I will be using the sanguinary guard for this and just want a general consensus of how people would build them up. Thanks!

You can have two guys with either plasma pistols or flamers. The rest have CCW and pistols.

They'd probably be best off with Flamers and charging blobs of infantry. Throw a chaplain in and go to town.

if it is ba assult marines, then have melta guns melta bomb and power axe

if its normal then just add power axe melta bomb or just leave them blank, if you really want then add a flamer

It's one weapon per 5 guys ATM with C:SM.

I like a 5 man squad, power sword on the sarge, one guy has a flamer. Add a chaplain with just a jump pack when able. First dibs on the last spare 5 points for melta bombs. Makes for an excelent backfield harrasment unit.

Get the flamers. Actually, C:SM ASMs are a bit better now that flamers are so nice in 6th. The melta thing was mostly mandatory in 5th, but now you can riflemen dread many AV 11-12 to death.

BA with 2 flamers and a spec weapon or 2 on the Sgt is excellent.
