I am painting my Black Templar vechicles with a desert scheme. I like a bit of variation in the army. I think that they certainly wouldn't use camouflage on their power armour, but if their tanks are all parked they'd want to camouflage them from bombers. What do you guys think? How about their bikes? I want to do them desert yellow too, but is that too cowardly seeming for the mighty Templars?

Doesn't seem too fluffy but it's your models!
How about an imperial guard allied detachment? That would be sweet.

Yeah, I'm planning on guard allies. To bad the Tellarn desert raiders are out of print. Looks like forge wold only has H.Weapon teams, snipers and brontosaurus rough riders. I could green stuff turbans I suppose.

Every time I hear someone say painting SM in camo is anti-fluff it irritates me. There are quite a few instances of SM using camo & subterfuge when necessary it's just that most of these instances have been removed from the current fluff for reasons I can't fathom other than to make SM seem even more like pompous asses & less like the masterful soldiers they are.

I didn't know how I felt at first, but at a second chance to look at them, I think they look great.

It would make sense to repaint a vehicle to suit the environment that you are fighting it. Makes no sense to drive all black vehicles in the desert!

Thanks for the input I'm going to do their armour black but 'dusty' on their feet, and really dusty on the bikers.
