I recently boght a CD and played it on my PS3, and found the option for import. I have found nothing to suggest it would be harmful but after that I found that I was unable to play the CD on my CD player. Is this mere coincidence or have I ruined the disc?

I have no idea why that effect has happened, considering the "read only" part of CD-ROM. I vote coincidence.

Thanks, I assume you're right because no other CDs work on the 2 different CD players I used but both on my PS3 (1 is the imported CD, 1 is another CD).
