Played a game last night where the ork player insisted his HQ was a scoring unit. Being a bit tired and a little perturbed with how poorly I had played anyway I decided not to argue.

So, my question is simply: Do any of the Ork HQ's have a rule allowing them to be a scoring unit? The mission played was Crusade.

Not normally, but there is a Personal Warlord trait that makes your Warlord scoring.

Was the Warlord in a scoring unit?
Or as above there is a Warlord Trait.

Normally no, with a warlord trait, yes.

He was not in a scoring unit (by himself).

I'm not 100% certain of the trait rolled but believe it was on the command table, not personal.
