Hi,
I have basically no experience with the and really plan to start in july still try to plan what to buy.
i have just build 4 lists of 350 points (i know i should start playing with less but it's good to have a "buy plan").
would love some input which is "best" and why.
i build them with the "take what you like" approach .
Reading through some other threads i know people say all is playable but talking about lists is fun too^^
so here are the codes for Army4
c. army : eNo9ijkSACAMAl8DPeZw/JhVHm+0sGGHhRRgnggoKarkD8nxs1VvZZN2WzAai33E9gPCcg4n
Yu jing : eNozMlJVNTY1VDXRM1U1UTNSM6wxUTMEkyZg0hRImoJJI7CsIVgWGwnUrVpmAgCwIRGH
Aleph : eNozN1JVNTaxUDVWNVQDwhpU0hhIGqkZgdgmECEDNTMMVTC1RhBStcwEAB5sEto=
Pan(order) : eNozNFZVNTYxVzXVM1U1UjNUM6xBJS2ApAWYba5mAmabgkkI2xhMAtXWAPlqRmBdRqplJgAjABMN

As everyone will tell you, there is not really a ``best`` list. It will pretty much always come to how you use it.
As for 350 points, I'd say the standard games are between 150 and 300 points. ( The new ITS scenarios from CB are all 300 points )
Also, you can upload the list directly on the forum with ``Copy to clipboard (forum)`` option. It makes it easier to others to review your lists.

Anathematic starts offboard so you start with 1 less order. Which is not optimal but still workable.
Most of your units are slow and all except 1 has a weapon with better reach than a rifle.
And you have no way to start closer to the enemy so you will have to find a way to make this work =)
Your Gwailos and your Aswangs can be Lieutenant so it makes for good Lieutenant hiding. Don't forget Aswangs are awesome Lieutenant.
You have a hacker but no Remotes so he will primarily be used as a defensive hacker I guess.
But here's what I would do to make the most of it : Downgrade that multi-rifle gwailos and add an Ikodron Batroide. I would also give a combi-rifle to an Aswang and pay 1 more point to have the Caliban start in developed shape.
Not much has changed but here's how I would use most of the models you listed for this list.
Here's the new list :

The Yu Jing list is currently over 1 point and there's a single model in that 2nd group.

Remember that at first, if you play a Sectorial, you should not use the link team rules as you will already have enough rules to master. Your Lieutenenant is a Hsien but you don't have enough SWC to really benefit from this so I would use a Celestial guard and hide him among his friends.
I would give a HMG to that Hsien and upgrade a Wu Ming.

That Aleph list would be even meaner if you had a second Enomotarchos ( for eventual link team action )
By balancing 2 fire teams, you get great mobility and firepower. You have a drop troop for extra fun and Achilles will scare the hell out of opponents =P
You can probably substitute Ajax with any other Linkable character (( they pretty much all cost the same ) so it's pretty much a question of preference )
Here's what I would do :

For that PanO list, until you start playing sectorial lists, Frenzy on half your list might give you an hard time.
Other than that, pretty much all your units are HI so vulnerable to Immobilisation by hackers.
Having a very little 2nd group is really not optimal so I removed a couple order sergeants and added a bigger knight who will also act as Lieutenant decoy.

Automatically Appended Next Post: So overall, these lists are by no means bad but I think what might gives you a hard time having a single group is trying at 350 points.
As you would have a full order pool and then 2 orders to share between 2 models, these 2 might not be able to do as much as you'd like. ( having 12 models )
These lists would be just fine for YAMS or kill em all games but you would need more specialists for ITS scenarios.
But really, don't worry about this and start at low points and take your time to learn the rules.
And enjoy Infinity !

Overall I can't really add much to Skyfury's analysis, but repeat his final comment:

Getting more than 300pts I think is generally recommended if you are prepared to do it. Lets you swap your units around between games rather than being stuck with the same models each time - although this is still to be recommended to an extent when you are learning the game, and you need to learn the nuances of each unit!

wow,
first a big thank you!
Will have a deep look into my Lists...
But from these 4 "armyslists" if you consider what my favorite troop types are (those in the lists) which would be the one best suited for most possible missiontypes with only marginal changes.
if someone can say that easily^^.
I don't want to collect a army only to see it's best for a certain mission type and most of the other trooptypes of these factions, that i really don't like, have to be added.
I know that's a little shallow from me...

Actually it really depends. YAMS missions ( http://wargamingtrader.com/yams) requires no changes to these lists.
For ITS, it will requires a couple more specialists ( http://www.infinitythegame.com/infinity/downloads/its/[en]ITSScenarios.pdf )
For the Paradiso Campaign, you pretty much need to tailor your list at every mission so... proxy away =D
