If your target is venom spam list, probably not that great.
It's a good boxset if you want to use every unit in there in some way, but it barely starts you off, you'd still need to grab a lot of transports to even play at 500-750 after paying the battleforce...
Kabbies are always great, do some minor conversion if you like, and make them into trueborns.
Wyches are, well, you've probably heard about them HWG suicide squads.
Raiders aren't as great as venoms, but they're necessary if you want to bring a big blob of assault in, or gunboats.
Reavers, sadly, 3 is barely enough, so you'd need to get another box or 2...
I would say, themed lists-wise, Kabal is probably cheaper to buy each individual boxes, coven isn't even in the battleforce, and wych cult benefits from the boxset the most.

So, are Kabalite warriors and wyches good to run at the same time?

Generally wyches aren't worth it.though they are good anti-tank assault. The trend to kill themselves doing anything.. In the past they were good to tie up death star units while you isolated and destroyed the rest of the army.
For identical points especially against a monstrous creature meta warriors every time.

Kabalite warriors provide the basic AI shooting for the army, either in the form of 5 w/ blaster on venom or 10 as an unit of gunboat... or various other builds, they certainly aren't any worse than they were last edition, in fact, just as any shooty unit in this game, they're better this edition.
Wyches are, well, much harder to run if you want them as primary assault unit, still good as a tarpit if you can get them into close combat, the HWG wyches suicide squad(5 wyches) on a venom is simply amazing however, you have a steady good chance at destroying an HP4 vehicles with 1 squad of them. I forgot who mentioned it, but give this suicide squad a shardnet and they can tarpit a dread if they couldn't destroy it in one turn.
They do work together quite nicely as warriors are generally better at anything with toughness, while wyches can take down anything with AV.

Is that because of the haywire grenades they have?

Yup, throw one during shooting, BS4 then a 2+ to glance, follow by 5x haywire during assault, again 3+ and 2+, so you have a very good chance at just wrecking anything with 5 wyches. Obviously, you'd need to use tactics to get in range...

Cool. That sounds pretty nice, A friend of mine runs An achelles so haywire is the only reliable way to kill it.
Quick question, are hellions good troops?

If you can get the squad into position, that little vehicle kill squad will make him weep when those Wyches brutalize his Achilles. Just don't expect them to survive what comes out of it. Chances are, they'll be angry and pack enough firepower to mow down the Wyches.

The best thing about fighting the Achilles is people tend not to move it. They find somewehre to park it and pump out Thunderfire Cannon shots.
If you can manage to zip your Venom around and catch him like that, you'll be hitting him automatically in assault. So just 2+, hull point gone.
