Hey Guys, first post on here.
I was hoping for some critique on this IG list. I am aiming at a competitive army with this one, that uses Leman Russ because I love them.
The PCS with flamers and the Leman Russ Executioner will advance toward midfield, go for the objectives and slay terminators with the Executioner cannon. The CCS will hangout with the Lascannon blob behind the ADL

I am a giant fan of the Hydra myself but your biggest problem is that on a good roll those hydras will knock down one flyer a turn. On bad luck they do squat. Since you have an ADL I would recommend dropping the Hydras for one vendetta. A roving LC is scary and for 130 points it will soak up that death with more death.

Now I don't know about your area but mine is basically devoid of large armies now. You should evaluate your own area and adjust your blobs accordingly.

Now I also enjoy the regular Russ and I feel the table clearing range of 72" is hard to ignore but what is it doing that your LCs are not? With the twenty points saved from the hydras invest in a naked demolisher or two. They will be independent of each other that way.

If you have ever fielded 2 Russes in a squad before then you should know how hard it is to maneuver when you only have 6 inches of space between the models. If you whipe out a squad then the other Russ is done too so 150 points just went down the drain for that turn.

Just my two cents.

Unfortunately, you've got a lot of low killing power options. PISs with nothing more than a grenade launcher are more or less a waste of points and space. Taking officer squads without more serious special or heavy weapons, or russes without sponsons is a waste of slots. Furthermore, only two russes at 1500 points isn't exactly a "russ list".

If we took your list, and tweaked it for more firepower, you might get something like...

CCS - lascannon, standard,officer of the fleet

PCS - lascannon, 2x flamers
PIS - meltagun, lascannon
PIS - meltagun, lascannon
PIS - meltagun, lascannon
PIS - meltagun, lascannon

PCS - lascannon, 2x flamers
PIS - plasma gun, lascannon
PIS - plasma gun, lascannon
PIS - plasma gun, lascannon

Exterminator - lascannon, multimeltas

Same amount of infantry, but far more AA (2 hydras aren't nearly as good as 2 exterminators, 14 lascannons, and a huge pile of melta and plasma), and way, way more killing power over all.
