OK!

I've long been tempted by the JSA, mostly due to a few models...

I was able to pick up the following miniatures recently (thanks empchild!):

O-Yoroi

Aragoto

Karakuri

and this guy:

Domaru Takeshi "Neko" Oyama

I'm trying to avoid another large pile of models for yet another Infinity faction so.. looking for suggestions on what to use to fill out the list to 300 points.

Maybe 2 different lists, using the models above and adding in Domaru, Haramaki and, of course, Ninja!

I wouldn't mind avoiding Keisotsu if possible, maybe using Kempei instead?

Thanks!

I would probably pick up the JSA box and youd be good. After that maybe just a few extra Domaru or Haramaki for link teams.

I'm hoping to get at least 9 orders at 300 points - though that probably means Keisotsu...

Keisotsu in a 5-man link are both ridiculously cheap AND a palpable threat. Give them a missile launcher and you double that threat.
B2 missile at BS14, with most of the table for +3? Yes please. Oh, and in ARO also?

Just put the Hvy weapon guy in cover so you don't lose him. 4 combi rifles aren't much of a threat, even with sixth sense.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

OK, OK... you've convinced me the Keisotsu are probably unavoidable...

This box set looks nice:

And then probably these two blisters next:

Oh my. I've been thinking of doing JSA as well but that would require me to buy a buttload of miniatures because I WANT THEM ALL. And they release Neko so, while I was lukewarm to Domarus in general now I kind of want them so I can field Neko. And a man being okay with being called Neko is a real man, indeed.

May I suggest taking a Kempei with Chain of Command on some of those lists? Especially the lists with aggressive Lt.s. Probably need to add Keisotsus in the mix (and the Oniwaban looks freaking cool, too. GET THE STARTER)

This is never a problem in any other game. Only in Infinity. Only in Infinity...

The first thing I start with in nearly every JSA list I make is a kempeitai with chain of command. JSA lists are meant to be aggressive, and not having to worry about loss of lieutenant is a big help.

I agree that the JSA starter is a great place to add models to what you already have. For me, the domaru have always shined in the latter half of my games when all of my shiny exciting units have died. Then the heavily armored domaru wade into the thick of things and really kick some butt.

The oniwaban is hard to learn how to use, but worth it.

Don't look down on our lowly keisotsu. They are really, really effective. Use the three you get with the started, and add either an HMG or missile launcher, and another combi rifle to make a five man link team and watch them shine. Hey are quick to get into a forward position with only a few orders, or can hold a defensive position really well.

And while they are crazy expensive, I really like the ninja with sniper rifle. Just putting down the TO camo marker on a raised position with cover will limit your opponent's moves, and that can be a great help, since he can't ignore a unit that will usually be at least -9 to hit.

Good luck!

Interesting that you are going for this force Alph!

I've actually got a friends force of Japanese Sectorial, and was looking at the possibility of a kind of Keisotsu-spam list (with loads of these expendable line trooper guys running to attack the enemy at close range - has a certain appeal to it! )

I can also attest to the power of the missile launcher-toting link team, having had heavy infantry splattered over the scenery a few times by one of them!

The first thing I start with in nearly every JSA list I make is a kempeitai with chain of command. JSA lists are meant to be aggressive, and not having to worry about loss of lieutenant is a big help.

Yes definitely Pseudonym - think the 2 SWC keisotsu and the cheap 'chain of command' unit really pushes you towards having a poweful, aggressive leiutenant in the force!
