Fellow dakkaforumites I need you help and opinion . The question at hand is simple new eldar codex is coming up and after digging out my eldar I have doubts about the color scheme. All this time I was using grey knights and coming across all this blue made me think that I should repaint them. I tried a different color scheme based on grey which uses high contrast between surfaces and I need your opinion regarding which should I choose and what color changes would look better. So here are the pics (which btw aren't of great quality).

So please shed some light. Comments and criticisms are always welcome.

Personally I am prone to the 'Blue Serpent' colour scheme ... It is more Eldar like than the other, also may I just say you are very skilled airbrush artist

The colorful blue look fits more with the elven theme of the Eldar. Plus, the paint scheme just looks better.

Both are awesome but I prefer the grey scheme. And although it looks cool, I think the slightly burnt engines look out of place on an Eldar vehicle.

Unhelpfully, I like them both! Could you not put some blue areas on the grey one and some grey on the blue, so that it's just one colour scheme?

I could try but I am uncertain about the result . The grey one is shadow grey which is blueish. People seem to like blue and this kinda helps. Now I have to find a nice color to match the underside of the serpant with the blue top .

My Craftworld color scheme is Grey and Yellow, so I am partial to the grey scheme...

I say blue serpent. Looks very eldar-like and it's always nice to see some pretty colors on the table

I like the grey because it is less done. I have a blue Eldar army. I think half of the Eldar armies out there are blue. The other half is Saim-Hann red, and a fraction are probably all the other colors. No seriously, colors are good, I just always like to encourage people to find something more unique. Although I can't argue against a tried and true paintscheme - all my latest army projects are using well established Craftworlds or Chapters, respectively.

I would say stick with the blue personally as it stands out more on the field and looks more eldar to me.

My own eldar army is red but not saim hann red.

I like the blue. If you wanted to add more colour or something, paint the spirit stones!

I think all I would do is add an oil wash to the lines between the body plates and then spray a satin varnish on them. They look cool imo.
