We now have three new pieces in the web store available for pre-order! These were hinted at in the final few hours of the Kickstarter project but were not quite reached through stretch goals. You can order them now and we'll ship them to you in June!

Our regular edition Maelee is now available. She is an all new sculpt with a different pose and alternate costuming.

Not work blocked here!

I'll soon have twin mechanics. They should go great with the Pit Crew from Relic Knights.

A new Bombshell Kickstarter is Live

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/bombshellminis/bombshell-special-edition-maelee-set

Help us get Maelee's Set into production and on her way to GenCon.

THE PLAN

We are raising funds to cover production and promotion expenses of our new Maelee Special Edition Set and assure she gets to GenCon!

Rather than make the set exclusive to convention-goers we wanted to offer it in our online store during the weekend of the show.

Even better, we want to also offer it early to our Kickstarter backers and give them an opportunity to get the convention exclusive set before we take it to the show.

THE SET

The Special Edition Maelee Set features our mascot mechanic heroine poised atop a giant wrecked robot heap. She is swinging her trusty wrench in desperate melee against two attacking BdE robots. Maelee and her robot attackers are all cast in quality pewter. The scenic base is cast in resin and comes supplied with a premium style 50mm plastic base for diplay. The two BdE robots include 25mm plastic bases. Each set comes with a signed and numbered certificate. The sets will be limited to 750.

It's a lot simpler than the previous one and (i'm guessing) probably won't feature stretch goals

Rewards

2 attacking bots + buddy bot $15 (+25 p&p outside the USA)

Maelee + base + 3 attacking robots + buddy bot $50 (+25 p&p0

Unfortunately the p&p kinda kills that one for me - which is a shame, as I really like the look of that diorama.

I like those robots. Id be tempted to buy them, if they were sold in packs of 5, either multi-part or multi-pose.

From the look of those poses, converting the robots to multi-part multi-pose models after the fact should be a simple cutting job.

Update #1 · Jun 19, 2013 · 1 comment

Amazing enthusiasm everyone! We have almost totally funded the project in under 24 hours! You guys are the best! Thanks for helping us get the project rolling! GenCon, here we come!

Because you asked for it we're extending our project! We will be implementing the following stretch goals if we reach funding early.

STRETCH GOAL #1 - $12,500 MAELEE Solo
If we reach $12,500 we will unlock the individual Maelee piece as an Add-on for an additional pledge amount of $10 to any backer level. This is not limited. Maelee will come with one plastic 25mm base.

STRETCH GOAL #2 - $15,000 BASE Solo
If we reach $15,000 we will unlock the individual resin Wrecked Robot Display Base piece as an Add-on for an additional pledge amount of $10 to any backer level. This is not limited and does NOT include the 50mm plastic display base.

PROGRESS

The sculpts have all been sent out to Valiant and will be going to mold sometime next week. I have ordered a handful of masters to be sent to me for painting purposes and when we get the pieces I'll post some shots of the castings. In the meantime, I have ordered packing and shipping supplies for the boxed sets and those will be coming in the next week or so as well.

COMBINED ORDERS

The idea to get this project to fulfill on time is to streamline the process. There are only three of us packaging the sets and boxing them for shipping. In order to make this go smooth and by the numbers, we need to have as little customization to each backer reward package as possible so that everything will go like clockwork until we leave for GenCon. This was one thing we learned the hard way on the last project. It will also allow us to "pre-pack" a good number of the orders so that shipping can begin as close to the end of the funding period as possible.

Many of our backers have commented before that they don't mind waiting for rewards in order to get certain things. This would be great if we were a larger operation, however any delays in processing the fulfillment impacts the time we will be able to spend on all of our other tasks like designing new releases, sculpting, game development, sculpting, timely updates, sculpting, customer service, and sculpting.

So, for this project, it is not feasible for us to integrate existing web store product as backer rewards items. We will be offering the Maelee Special Edition Set during the period of August 15th through 18th through our online web store where it can be combined with other items and charged calculated shipping.

GENCON PICKUP

We can implement and option on the survey for you to select to indicate you will be picking up your rewards package at GenCon. We will have them at the booth and you can come by the show during regular hours to get your package.

Stay tuned, we will be posting more updates as the project progresses!

Thank you for your support!
