A quick one regarding the networked markerlights. I had my first game vs Tau, and not knowing the codex I got obliterated, however giving it a quick read I found some points that were misplayed by my opponent on the game. One of these I think was the networked markerlights.
He had 2 skyray (sp?) as separate units (not sure if they can squad), and he used to shoot the networked markerlights on both, before doing any shooting, so he went: this tank shoots 2 markerlights, one hits, the other one shoots 2 as well, one hits, now i use those two to take away your cover and shoot with both tanks... iirc the spelling on the networked says they can be shot before any shot, but I assume you still need to finish the shooting of say unit before moving to the next one, or do you just shoot all the networked markerlights on your army and then go to a "second" shooting phase where you shoot the actual weapons?

You're right. Also, unless there were some squadron shenanigans, a bonus (like stripped cover) only applies to a single unit and only to members in that unit shooting at the target (no target lock shenanigans).

No, The ignore coveres does not apply just to the unit being shot at, it applies to the unit shooting, it says "Gains ignore cover special rule for this shooting attack" So if you have a blast that ignores cover that hits two units, it ignores at both units.

Oh, didn't realize that, I was told their cover was lifted for the rest of the turn, needless to say every heavy weaponry rain over my marines without any cover, I thought it was something like searchlights which pretty much removes it for everyone, good to know my defeat shouldn't have been so crushing

Your opponent misunderstood the rules. Networked Markerlights are fired just like a weapon. You resolve shooting one unit at a time. So he can resolve his Networked Markerlights on one Sky Ray and then fire the rest of its guns after (letting them benefit from it), and then move on to the next Sky Ray. He played it wrong.
Also, Scour does cost 2 Markerlights and it does this: All weapons fired at the target as part of this Shooting attack gain the Ignores Cover special rule. So that one unit firing and using the 2 Markerlight tokens gets to benefit from Ignores Cover, no one else.
