So I was thinking about adding some chaos bikers to my army and wanted to have a sorcerer lead thegroup. Has anyone done this and found something that worked well or had some troubles with other areas? I have already done a few ork cknversions but havent messed with chaos too much.

What sets or bits would I need besides the bikers kits?

If money's no object then I would use the robed biker body from the Dark Angels Ravenwing Bike Squadron kit (carving off the DA bits) then put it on a chaos bike using one of the chaos arms to grip the handle bars, a CCW weapon from the Chaos Marine sprue & the chaos sorcerer head from the same. Finish with a chaos backpack.
If you find one then add a chaos familar to the rear tyre guard.
You might be able to get the Ravenwing torso & legs from a bits site.

You could always see if you could get hold of one of the old Doomrider models, especially if you wanted yo have a Slaanesh sorcerer on a bike.

If you have no problem useing/chaosifying a loyalist bike you probably can get hold of the DV bikers on ebay for a decent price. The sergeant wears a robe and could probably be converted to a sorcerer with a little bit of conversion like changing his weapon arm and head. The bike is a bigger problem to chaosify though.

I chaosified my own set of them.

This is how I've done my chaos lord, using the Khorne chariot. Maybe it'll serve as inspiration. The middle is from a chaos bike.

that thing is forkin' gigantic! That could serve as a tank.

Also that greenstuff work is mighty fancy doomhammer. I'm not sure I would be able to pull that carving off.

I might try the DV bike and chaos marines sprue. Does the chaos marine sprue have sorcerer bits in it?

The basic chaos marines box comes with a few chaos-god related helmets and the tzeentch ones are really nice for a sorcerer. But that's the only thing that says sorcerer to me in that box.

Another alternative is to use normal csm bits and the tzeentch helmet and sculpt a GS cloak over the body once he is on the bike. Maybe those tutorials can give you some tips for that:
