Both items give a 2+ ward for the first hit/wound. If I took both, would I have to use them both on the first wound? Or could I theoretically use one for the first wound and another for the second wound?

- For Macragge, Guilliman, and the Emperor
They're one of the legions with the lost Primarchs, their primarch currently wandering around dazed and confused in an alternate reality where he is known as Jean Luc Picard.

All over

Well hit is different then wound. I don't exactly remember how the high elf item is worded but I'm sure you can use both.

Charmed shield works on first hit.

Crown works on first WOUNDING hit.

So they would both stack as I see it. Because if you're hit by an attack, first thing you do is roll for charmed. If it fails, you roll to wound. If that succeed Crown takes over. If Charmed succeeded, the hit didn't wound so crown wouldn't have been used.

This.
If you're using the charmed shield, be prepared to yell "STOP" at your opponent after he makes his to hit rolls. You must take the charmed shield effect before he rolls to wound; as you are discounting a hit, not a wounding hit. If you don't randomize before your opponent rolls to wound, be sure to randomize the shield effect between all hits, not just those hits than wounded.
If your opponent has poisoned attacks, you'll need to have him roll his attacks one at a time (or randomize which hit the shield goes against).

Aren't attacks at the same initiative simultaneous?

If they were they would be no first. Just pick one.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

The question pre-exists for anyone as Opal Amulet & Charmed Shield.

Golden Crown is just a cheaper and better version of the Opal Amulet. DukeRustfield echoes the existing answer. Golden Crown and Opal Amulet would be a conundrum, but thankfully they are both Talismans and cannot therefore stack.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

Some of the time.
If I have 4 wounds, you have heroic killing blow. We are in a challenge, you hit me 3 times, and wound 3 times. I have no saves. One of those hits is heroic killing blow.
How much combat resolution do you do?
