Hey guys, my name's Matt, and I'm a newbie round here, if not to tabletop!

I've been into 40k for much of the last 10-15 years, originally starting out in 3rd edition, and collecting three different armies in my time. In the last year I began doing commission painting jobs for a few friends, who suggested I get into it professionally.

I setup a little website, and I've had a steady flow of small to large projects over the last six months or so. Mostly I focus on doing solid tabletop standards of painting for people that want minis to play with rather than display, but I try to give good value for money, with virtually all of my squads and tanks getting about 5-6 hours of work to complete at £10 per hour. Looking to settle on a 'per figure' pricing chart soon that should standardize things a touch more for those looking into having stuff done.

Please feel free to take a little look at my work,

For those not liking links, I'm posting images below!

I would love some feedback! I know my work isn't showcase/display standard, but it's all done within about 5-6 hours to give 'playable' minis rather than display stuff, so please be forgiving =)

Doing a Sons of Malice army at the moment that I look forward to putting up some cool photos of soon!

Solid, basic tabletop level work. A good unveiling of commissions. Welcome to the club, so to speak.

Gems on the night spinner could do with being a little neater, but all in all, not too shabby.

That' good solid tabletop quality. The only thing that I would point out are the mould lines, you might want to spend a little more time cleaning the models. Other than that good work.

Thanks for the comments thus far everyone. Some good usable feedback there. I've just updated the website to include a detailed service guide, so that rather than pricing by hour, I'll be doing it 'per figure'. Standardizing it like this based on what techniques should be included should allow me ensure everything gets a more balanced amount of time given to it. Oh, and I just got the dotcom!

DAMN fine Salamanders! (Where did that scaled shield come from? We WANTS it!) Your Eldar are a little dusty, a little realistic-looking, for my tastes. (I like my Eldar bright and colorful and alien.) That's a personal preference issue though, and there's no reason that mine should be yours. (And that first tank is awesome no matter which style you like!) Still your skill is very high!

My only no-no is the terminator sergeant. On his right shoulder he has a plaque that is just begging to have something on it. A name, a number, illegible 'script scribble,' something. If you were a worse painter, then maybe it wouldn't be that big of a deal, but to have such pretty models with such a glaring omission is just a crime!

Really, awesome stuff. You have a great grasp of the required skills for this hobby, and I am envious of your talent.

Welcome to the Freakshow!

That's a lovely blue you have for your Eldar. Almost makes me want to collect some now.
