Hi all,

I'm not a Tyranid player, so I'm hoping someone can help. I keep seeing Nid lists with multiple powers on the Tervigon (usually 3). But when I checked the FAQ, I see that the Tervigon is only mastery 1. If I understand correctly, the Tervigon only gets 1 warp charge point, so can only use 1 power per turn.

Is that right? If so, why pay to take additional powers on the Tervigon?

Thanks Dakka!

Yes, the Tervigon can only use one power a turn, but it may exchange each power it possesses for a single rulebook power. By taking Catalyst and Onslaught, it gets 3 tries at getting a desirable power.

Basically, taking the extra powers gives a bigger toolbox for the Tervigon to work with.

Yeah as posted above, it increases your chances of getting the Bio powers the Tervigon wants, and adds some tactical flexibility to the Terv. Need it to hunker down on an objective put up Iron Arm, need to help your front running units or Flyrants survive for longer, buff them with Iron Arm.
