I have an IG chimera base painted in light and dark grey camo strips right now. What color wash should I use on it? Black or Devlan mud or something else?

I would try the black wash first, focus around rivets and panel lines, trying to avoid any large flat areas, and see how you like that.

Hitting with a coat of gloss varnish first will help you control the wash a bit more.
