Howdy all

Uni exams are done and I have decided I need a summer project(s). So I decided to do some scratch building, now as I have never actually fully scratch built anything before, I decided to start small. So I picked the Warlord. This thing is going to be about a meter tall by the end of it.
Now plans wise, a lot of this is estimated guesswork, however everything is being written down so there will be plans by the end of it, which will be posted assuming it actually works/looks good.

Ok, shoulders are taking shape, I haven't quite decided on the weapon armaments for it yet, but I'm leaning towards missile pods rather than the usual turbo lasers.

Ok, work continues, all the main structure of the torso is pretty much finished. When it's dried properly I'll add a load of additional armour plates and greebles to make the flat surfaces look a bit more interesting.
For the head I'm still trying to pick a design at the moment, but I'm toying with one which looks slightly similar to the front of the ork battlewagon, with the vision slit and a large faceplate visor, do you think that would work?
And for weapons, does anyone hae any good sources for large barrels that I could use? or am I going to have to go down the plasticard pipe route?

After a trip to the local DIY shop, I have sourced some hip joints ala plumbing supplies. The interior is shown here and I'm off to start work on the legs

Hi all, quick update, the work on the legs continues and I'm going to start work on the feet in the morning, I balanced the bits on top of each other to give a sense of height (the legs will be bulked out a lot more when finished, and probably articulated, so posing will be easier)
Anyway, apologies for photo quality, I was using my phone.

Been busy recently, but I have started work on the head. I tried a fully foam board one, but it looked essentially like a cube and a bit naff. So I glanced up on my shelf and saw this:

You had me worried at first with that skull, but seriously good useof it to make that helm.

Haha I was considering using more of the skull features to make a chaos titan. But that will brobably be used for the next one I make. Really considering doing a titan duel. The only downside to the current helm is that the girlfriend has decided that it looks like a gimp mask. And I really cant stop seeing it like that right now. Need to paint it quick to get rid of the black mask with silver studs look

Opinions on missile pods on the shoulder? I'm thinking of breaking away from the traditional turbolasers.
