As the title says.. who do you think is next for the 40K 6th edition Update-spam? also, who do you want it to be?
I'm thinking it will either be Orks, Imperial Guard, or a Space Marine thing (If not SM, then Black Templars or Angels)

But really, i hope we get Tyranids. I think that would be great fun. I'd also love it if they went Sisters of Battle. Full on army revamp. Even give them a book!

I have no idea who's next and couldn't begin to speculate. However, I've told my son too many times that as soon as Sisters of Battle get their codex and non-metal models, we're selling his Angels for them. I think he has finally come to terms with this.

Well we've got Eldar, Tau, Daemons (gotta love that extra 'a'), CSM, and Dark Angels. I'd say that's a pretty xenos biased list (which I approve of, but still...).

C:SM is almost 5 years old, so I'm guessing they'll re-update that next. Then maybe follow the pendulum of "imperial faction, non imperial faction", maybe something like:

C:SM (Black Templars as a codex supplement, maybe, it would be cool)

Orks or Tyranids? Orks is older, but I feel like Tyranids need it more.

Impereal Guard, Grey Knights?? Both of those are still pretty solid I think. If they were going to do Sisters this would be the prime place for it.

The other one of Orks or Tyranids.

This is just me pulling stuff out of my butt though, no idea how the folks at GW feel about things.

I just laughed out loud while reading this.

They should have an Ork Rok as their new big thing.

Random roll a quadrant of the table. Everything there is dead. Then deploy orks...

I'm almost afraid of what they will do to Orks. I like my current codex.

GK are very recent, codexwise.

Nids could use a codex revisit. The current one sucks diseased moose wang, though not as badly as it did in 5th.

Well I wouldnt be too worried about it if I was your son as I doubt the SoB will be getting a new codex for a couple more years if ever.

I remember seeing a leaked product release list in another thread a few months ago that listed quite a few SM items, so C:SM is where I would place my bet.

Really all i want for orks is a re-arrangement of what we already got. We "technically" dont need anything new but they'll make something new anyway just to make us buy a new model (betcha anything the rumored Squiggoth is gonna be a ~90 dollar model and we need 2-3 to be viable like the rest of our dex in terms of toys).

What we do need is, like i said, a heavy re-arrangement. With the exception of Flash Gitz, Kommandos, and non-nob bikers everything is pretty balanced cost-wise (i say non-nob bikers because theyre still expensive as feth and arent even half as durable as nob bikers or scary).
MANz and Flash Gitz should be merged into Nob upgrades and Lootas, Burnas, and Tankbustas should be merged into Special Boyz that are normal boyz but in the Elite slot and cost 15pts after taking whichever weapon you want (and can mix n match weapons).
Also Burnas should be allowed in Boyz upgrade weapon choices.

If thats literally all the changes we got, i'd be happy. Yes i would like to see some buffs to our walkers/wheels but with the current issue with armor i really dont care. This would let lists stay the same if they wanted to, but enable way more lists because of the flexibility.

Doubt it'll hapen though.

An ork with an idea tends to end with a bang.

I'd like to see an Inquisition codex. An HQ for each militant order and a generic Inquisitor who has to take an order upgrade but also gets more options for his retinue/command squad. Each order has its militant chamber (Grey Knights, Sisters, and Deathwatch) and access to inducted guardsmen, stormtroopers, and frateris militia.

GW seems to have run very far away from this idea with the demise of the WH and DH books getting binned.

I thought Grey Knights was just the shiny new name they gave to Daemonhunters with their reboot?

The GK codex effectively is Codex: Inquisition with a giant focus on the Knights in shining armor. Fluff-wise, the Sisters aren't actually part of the Inquisition.

Space Wolves: 3770
Orks: 3000
Chaos Daemons: 1750
Warriors of Chaos: 2000
