So I have spent the last 6+months converting Imperial Guard and Sisters of Battle into a Vampire Counts 40k army. My friends have been bugging me to upload this and I am giving in. Keep in mind I am a in no way shape or form a professional painter or modeller or whatever. Just had a cool idea and decided to run with it. Hope this inspires more people to go crazy with making an army their own.

First post will have the Imperial Guard Units. Second one will have the Sisters of Battle.
[Thumb - zombiewide.JPG]
We start with zombies. These are counts as Conscripts and I gave them all lasguns. Models from Mantic

[Thumb - zombieclose.JPG]
Added the tray cause moving 50 conscripts one at a time takes way to long.

[Thumb - hadesteam.JPG]
Hades breaching drill with attached squad.

[Thumb - hadesspecial.JPG]
Fire heads make them easy to spot.

[Thumb - hadesclose.JPG]
Wave to the nice people, Jerry.

[Thumb - artillerywide.JPG]
Artillery Carriage I converted from a black coach. spare basilisk barrel, and some skeleton infantry.

[Thumb - artilleryclose.JPG]
That guy on the left held off a demon prince by himself for 3 rounds of combat.

[Thumb - roughriders.JPG]
Rough riders being represented by Black Knights. All of them have the proper grenades and laspistols.

[Thumb - roughridersside.JPG]
The headless one on the silver horse represents Mogul Kamir

[Thumb - stormleader.JPG]
Stormtooper Leader. Nothing special other that the head got switched.

[Thumb - stormies.JPG]
rest of his squad

[Thumb - platoonCS.JPG]
Platoon Command squad with 4 flamers.

[Thumb - PCSleader1.JPG]
This guy can double as Chenkov when I feel like making the Zombie Conscripts even more zombie like

[Thumb - chimera.JPG]
Chimera with some skeleton decorations.

Better view

[Thumb - commissar.JPG]
Lord Commissar looking inspiring despite being dead.

[Thumb - banewolves.JPG]
Bane Wolves with zombie parts in the back

Slimy

[Thumb - banewolfsludge.JPG]
Getting sprayed with this stuff would not be fun.

[Thumb - hellhound2.JPG]
Hellhound with some underworld flames added on.

[Thumb - hellhoundtop.JPG]
That scythe likes to break whenever I move this thing.

[Thumb - mortarteam.JPG]
Mortar team.

[Thumb - medusa.JPG]
Medusa with an undead crew.

[Thumb - medusatop.JPG]
This one doesn't break. Be more like your brother Hellhound scythe guy

[Thumb - medusaback.JPG]
Even the handicapped undead can serve.

[Thumb - psyker.JPG]
Primaris Psyker

[Thumb - scouts.JPG]
Scout Sentinels with lascannons

[Thumb - marbo.JPG]
Guardsman Marbo, technically an Imperial Guard unit, but I made it up to look like a sister of battle vampire since it seemed more fitting for someone that is supposed to be that elite.

Here are the rest of the Sisters. Side note, colors on bases are for unit type. Blue are HQ, Red is Fast Attack, Black is Troop, Green is Heavy, Yellow is Elite.

Vampire lady in charge of it all.

[Thumb - SOB.JPG]
Replace the powerpacks with shields to make them feel more connected with the rest of the army.

Excellent conversions, paint scheme and love the overall theme.

The only thing that's letting this army down is the colour of the base rims, you should paint them all black imho

My concern was that with the extensive conversion work people would complain about not keeping track of which unit is which. I agree it kinda lessons the effect, but I want to win a match cause I was able to outplay my opponent, not because he didn't realize a particular unit was a troops choice and not an elite choice.
