Bah, so my wife and I move, a lot, and I finally got around to opening my Warmachine guys to check on them to find some models needed to be repaired. I wouldn't have a problem except for the fact that the new Citadel Glue I bought several months ago is absolute crap and haven't even opened it till now. The old glue I used was amazing but I had ran out. My FLGS doesn't carry only had the Citadel stuff, or were just out of my preferred stuff. I can't get the glue to settle and hold pieces together, hell I bought both the thin and thick glue fromCitadel and both are just bad.

So I ask, what is a good brand of glue for metal miniatures, Warmachine to be more exact?

I'm back!

Just about any kind of super glue out there works just fine on metal, even the super cheap stuff. I personally use Zap-A-Gap and Loktite Super Control Gel.

Well first off, stop buying any hobby supplies from Citadel. They are gak in Dakka parlance and overpriced to boot.

Any super glue will do much better except el cheepo dollar store brand style non brands.

But if you move a lot, I suggest looking into pinning, and I forget the term, but a joint held together with green stuff and super glue, and maybe a pin thrown in for good measure. The result is a very strong bong. My Balrog broke the metal in the arm beforethe joint came loose.

There is a word for a wargamer with an empty paint bench.

Dead.

Loctite Super Glues are available practically everywhere. If you find a decent hobbystore, look to see if they carry BSI glues. They are awesome.

You might also have trouble getting new super glue to stick together parts that are coated with old, dried superglue.

I favor Loctite super glue when I am in the States, and I always pin parts when it is an option.

The secret to painting a really big army is to keep at it. You can't reach your destination if you never take any steps.

I build IG...lots and lots of IG.

I've tried several glues, Loctite, generic, and then I found the best so far. This is the BSI brand that SoloFalcon mentioned. I have noticed as the bottle ages it can become finicky (watery and only sticky on fingers) sometimes if the surface is too smooth, or for no reason that I can understand. Maybe I leave the cap off a bit too long, I dunno. It's still far and away better and more cost effective than anything else I've found. This is what it looks like. hobby shops will often buy it and put their name on it but the bottle and main label are the same. There are different consistencies.

I had pinned the models but the wife had a friend help us move. She was helpful, but to a fault, and it didn't help she is not fluent in English, only Portuguese...we had a lot of things broken this last move because of them.

The BSI stuff what I had before and glad to know the name now.

I'm back!
