No one cries foul @ Guard Sentinels, with the open cockpit. Its lightly armored. That's the concept.

Please, a cage, roll bars, something. That's worse than the walkers in the third Matrix movie*... and that's saying something.

*Note, I loved those walkers... but the not the unarmored pilots when they were clearly meant for combat. Without roll bars, or Any protection here... just ugh!

I'm not really a fan of those heavies... the torso "armor" is just comical! That said, some of the stuff here looks really great, and I'm glad they're not just showing concept art.

I am very interested in seeing the 3d prints! The art is fantastic, as are the renders, but I can't believe they didn't have any prints done before the campaign. Still, that could really help boost this, I think

It's done fantastic, and every campaign has a lull in the middle. It could easily catch a huge wave at the end, too, as these often do.

Minx, I don't think your defending them is really helping things. It's a fair point to ask to see pictures, why not let it stand and move on?

Anyway, I'm stoked to see the 3D prints when they put them up!

Could it be anything to do with Kickstarter's new policies regarding renders? I remember they clarified things to state that renders that people could mistake for final products were not allowable (of course, Wild West Exodus used renders extensively for almost everything, so that argument doesn't seem to explain things).

I thought you always had to pledge at least the level you selected (not under). So an early pledge level would have to match the value listed, or be higher, I thought.

I've never tried entering a number less than the pledge level selected... seems just... wrong, somehow!

WWX had a similar "all-in from the top backers" mentality, and did well with their campaign, I think.

I've been following this more lately, since the pages were more manageable than at the beginning. This is a project at the stage that I don't think I would back, given what I've experienced to date... a company has to be further along and have more models sculpted for me to feel safe enough that they'll deliver a quality product.

Wow, there's a bit of a disconnect between the amount it went up by, and the number of new backers (which is rather low). Continuing the trend that those who are in on this KS, are in on it BIG... like with the Wild West Exodus campaign.

Nah, DF didn't do everything right, not by a long shot (I don't think anyone would say that).

But what DF did do was communicate in a good faith manner with backers, and listen to feedback very, very well. No one's happy about the delays, but their communication during the campaign was absolutely excellent. Unfortunately, there is just not much to communicate at the moment as they wait on items to be cast months behind schedule... nature of the beast!

I'll eat my hat if Raging Heroes is anything close to on time, though.

Lol. So they really are saying 100% of sculpts are 80% done. Also that they made a mistake showing unfinished troops, never to be repeated, but they wanted feedback... bit of a contradiction there.

I don't want to put anyone off who really just believes in RH... But just go in knowing a year past what is predicted is not out of the realm of possibility... based on what we've seen of them with single releases, and all the extra challenges that a huge campaign adds, as we've seen with other companies (for example, Dreamforge). Just go in with your eyes open! If you believe and don't mind the delay that is nearly inevitable, pledge. If you'll be unhappy with that, don't. It makes all the difference... I'm still happy to wait on Dreamforge, for instance.

Yep, I think that's the right attitude it's certainly how I'm approaching kickstarters these days!

Minx- Having backed a dozen projects so far and not one of them being on-time, with the higher the pledge total the later the campaign being, yes that is without a doubt my prediction. Hoping to be wrong, of course... but imo people should go in with the mindset of late 2014 / early 2015, rather than early 2014.

If you go in expecting that, you can be pleasantly surprised . The reverse only leads to gnashing of teeth...

I'm probably pointing out the obvious here, but that was ONE unit of 5 models. And it was late by what, two months? That's not a "big order" especially in comparison to this. Extrapolate that out to 10+ units of 5 models and 30ish single models...

This is all I'm trying to say, that it's a huge leap for them, and Kroot as you've pointed out with AoW- people should've known they'd be late based on their track record and the jump they were trying to make. It's reasonable to say something analogous (not identical) here.

Also, I'm local to someone with a first run Ashara model... that was by no means a homerun, the detail was extremely soft. They got the hang of that later, and I've gotten something like 4 manticores from them over time . But as Fafnir mentioned, those were late... as were the blood vestals that you use as an example!

So... for the sake of people's own sanity, they should not expect this in early 2014 imo. For the record, I said "a year past what is predicted is not out of the realm of possibility". Given how much larger of a project this is than any they've undertaken, and how much care they take with their models (a very good thing) and how long it tends to take to get them molded after first seeing previews... And the fact that they've been late even on most of those! Is where my statement is coming from... i.e, not out of left field!

Warning's been said, etc etc, we can move on. For the record, Mierce Miniatures has been delivering brilliantly on their Kickstarter, despites all the warning signs... predicting the outcome of things from the get-go is no science. But the majority of KS projects are late, even by companies with great track records... so it's just something to keep in mind.

Interesting that the 4th to last day was higher than the third and second to last days...

Also, although yesterday's backer total was higher than it's been since near the start of the campaign, it was still only the 7th highest daily backer total of the campaign (the other 6 are in the first week and a half).

Looks like they'd agreed to tout James Wappel's services in the campaign but forgot until now. And that's not a toy gun with the child afaik.

The other new concepts do look good, though... just a bit late.

And yeah, about to pass yesterday's total with most of the day left to go. Last day should always be one of the biggest, though, so that makes perfect sense.

I think we should all just agree to disagree on what a "spike / surge / bump" is and just enjoy the final day. I certainly wish this no ill will, and am very happy that the Kurganova nurse at 615K looks like a shoo-in (one of the better concept art pieces, imo). And the Jailbird trike was just unlocked.

Given the logistics of fulfilling this, it's probably better for it not to completely blow up... currently sitting at 2,500 backers and 605K, that's still somewhat manageable.... somewhat

Buzzsaw, I hadn't seen that image, thanks! I'd love to see the full art, rather than just silhouettes, of the werewolves... but I'd be shocked if this made it anywhere close to that (I'm guessing 625 - 630K for an end mark... werewolves are at 665K).

Moving at a nice clip the past few hours... The Lulu is very possible/likely but unfortunately not the wolves, seemingly...

Would be sweet to see it hit 700K, but it needs a little over 10K in just 45 minutes to do so

Really smart on their part breaking up those werewolves, they were such great concepts that they really carried them home!

It is true that the 3rd and 2nd to last days were slow, but they're definitely hitting a homerun on the final day (final being this last day, not how kicktraq breaks it up)
