Hi ! I just wanted to know your opinion on the daemon prince. Can he be a good addition to a list, and, if yes, how do you upgrade and equip him ?

From my occasional dalliances in this neck of the forum there is a Nurgle variant that is extremely formidable.

lvl 3/4 mark of nurgle, chaos armor, soulfeeder, deamonic wings, dragonbane gem, flaming breath aand Charmed shield.

taking him either with death magic or nurgle is deadly. if nurgle you can have two flame templates with the signature spell wich is good fun when you are flying.

I run the above daemon prince mention almost every game and I can assure you he brings me back his points every game and is very competitive.

Hes got a 1+ 5++ which is increased to a 1+ 2++ against flaming attacks. WS 9 with -1 to hit in combat means everything is hitting you on 5's, most infantry hitting you on 6's. 5 st 6 attacks hitting on 2's. Knows 5 spells. +1 to channel. Ignore first hit on 2+ (used for cannons), can gain +1 wound and toughness on roll of 6 for each spell successfully cast in nurgle, boosts friendly units, weakens enemy units, and as previously mentioned has two breath weapons. All models in btb take st 1 wound no arm saves. And of course is unbreakable, causes terror and has thunder stomp.

That's what sadly annoys me the most in the 8th Ed WoC
The Prince and the Skullcrushers are so good that they are real no-brainers if you want to go the competitive way

Wouldn't call them no brainers. A level 4 in a block of warriors can be almost as effective as a DP but with better saves.
Skullcrushers are good, but expensive and competing with hellcannons for rare points.
