Hey guys I got bored and found some clay and figured meh, time to scrap building a model!!

So I am going to try and scrap build a army from clay. These are all 28mm scale for future reference. CC would be loved and looked forward to.

Try and remember tho this is half an hour work just a quick run down of where I want things and the general look not nearly done. Would love comments to make it blend a bit more into the 40k universe.

The lore will be mmmm vampire counts 40k style lol lots of skullies/ messed up necro things.

oh btw I know he looks chubby but that's because he lacking straps/ belt markings.

I need to go to work every day.

It looks like a decent start for 30 min of work. But i don't like his legs or to be more precise the backside of them. They are either to thick or missing some more folds and structure. Also his butt looks strange.
The torso armor doesn't fit with the curved armor plates on his legs (Which are looking really promising.) It looks to modern and also to simple. Maybe try to not push those triangular shapes in like a relief but add them onto the armor like additional armor plates.

Just a few quick questions/tipps. What did you use as an armature? Because a good and strong wire armature can give you a solid base for sculpting.

Also depending on how much details you want to put into your models it might be wise to not build every detail in clay. Especially if it is oven baking clay. Because the more details you add the higher the chance will be that you'll ruin or warp other details that are already done.
Just sculpt the basic form them bake it, file and sand him where needed and then add the final details with a two part epoxy putty like Green Stuff.
