What's the verdict, how strong does it look?

Pretty strong, it's a hardcover with an added plastic film layer to protect it from moisture. Also, the pages are wire bound, not glued like the old codex.

It fell on my foot and I certainly felt it, I've got a small bruise but the book has come away unscathed.

As to how good it is, there are plenty of other threads discussing that

So your codex stole the initiative and scored first blood.

On topic: I like the codex as it seems well balanced, I suspect Mr. Kelly had some discussions with the Tau writer.

Less crying, more playing. Trust me, you'll feel better in the end.

I had a bat get in my house and fly at me and the only thing I had handy was my new Eldar codex. One swing and bam, the bat was down and dead, so I'd say it was pretty strong. Didn't even leave a mark on the swanky dust jacket. Not sure if the non limited edition version would kill bats as effectively though.

I put it into a holding area with the White Plague and VX Gas...it came out fine. I'd say pretty strong.

I agree what the others wrote for the most part. But I would like to add that it is very evenly balanced. I managed to have it stand on one finger for quite a while.

We locked the new Eldar codex in a steel cage with all of the other army books. And while none of the books actually moved, we're confident that if they could, the new Eldar codex would have kicked all the other books' asses.

Idk about you guys but I'm not impressed.

I took my new Eldar codex to the gym to see how strong the book really was. The book couldn't even get 1 plate up on the bench. I was pretty disappointed.

Yours must be defective. Mine's been leaving scorch marks everywhere, but it seems to prefer zapping my Dark Eldar Codex.

While it looks strong, I think people fail to notice the new codex's soft side. My Eldar Codex takes me on long strolls across the beach sometimes.

Some people play to win, some people play for fun. Me? I play to kill toy soldiers.

While I didn't buy the Codex, a friend of me did. Later that day he found his Necron Codex torn to pieces, with the Eldar Codex next to it. I bought him a new one.

I would say it's a very strong Codex.

Codex: Eldar doesn't do push ups, it pushes the world down.

I placed the book in front of a picture of Chuck Norris and the Chuck Norris picture blinked first.

This book is hardbound AND hardcore.

I seem to have picked the romantic codex off the shelf, it ran away with my Guard codex, apparently the squishy allies abuse was too irresistible.
