It's war story time.
Everyone must have some oft told stories of awesome stuff happening in there games. Some amazingly funny calamity or awesomely heroic scene stealer. What has been your best 40K moment?
Mine was a few months ago, I was borrowing my friends Raptor SMs facing another friends Grey Knights. On comes the obligatory StormRaven heading straight for the Mortis Contemptor dread. The Contemptor then promptly proceeds to blow the StormRaven out of the sky with Krak Missiles. The StormRaven then scatters directly back along the angle it came onto the board, landing smack bang on top of a Grey Knight razorback, causing that to explode, with the resulting explosion killing all but one of the purgation squad inside. C-C-C-COMBO. The surviving purgation trooper is now known as George and is a fan favourite amongst our gaming group...
Care to share some of your best wargaming moments?

I swear this actually happened:
A while back one of my opponents was running that one type of assassin that could pop out of one of your squads. She jumped out of a fire warrior squad all bunched up behind cover and hit it with some kind of flame weapon. Only one model lived, but he made his leadership test so he was still on the board. Then during the assault phase she charged the poor little tau, missed all her attacks, then the sergeant hit and wounded with both his attacks, and the assassin failed both armor saves. Assassin dead, lone fire warrior shas`ui still sitting on objective.
My crisis suit commander once killed a charging eversor assassin in the first turn of combat too, but that isn't nearly as impressive.

Not from my game but:
BT high marshal with Terminator Armor, storm shield and LC with terminator body guard charges into Shas'o Rhymer and his two body guards. Nobody dies to overwatch, marshal takes a wound. The marshal challenges, rhymer accepts. Marshal misses every attack, and in return rhymer hits and wounds with two. High marshal fails both 2+ saves and promptly dies. To a tau. In melee. And it wasn't farsight.
From my games:
Running a vulkan list. Pod in 10 man stern with 5 CM 5 CF. they Combat Squad. 5 CM open up on a LR rear armor. And fail. All shots miss, rerolls fail all but one. That one rolls double 1's. The LR had rear armor of 11.

I think I would actually breakdown and cry if that happened to me

Last game I played with my ork army it was the final turn, His remaining SW troops: a land raider, preditor, rhino with a full tac squad, dreadnaught, a second tac squad, 2 wolf riders one with 1 wound one at full health. My reamining troops: 4 boyz locked in combat with the wolf riders. Victory points: Tie game.
His wold riders failed and killed 3 of the 4 boyz, my 1 remaining boy killed both riders and made a last min consolidation move to dive on the open objective winning the ame 13/12.
Needless to say: "WAAAAGHH"

There was a time I played against my former GW manager, and my space marine bikers pretty much drove right in front of his cannon. My multi-melta immobilized it, and the next turn they would be turned into Goo.
All I had left was a plasma rifle, and I needed 6's to even glance it. I shot, the plasma gunner didn't kill himself, and the vindicator was destroyed. it was, as the Former GW guy loves to say... "glorious"
Another time, I was playing zone mortalis against a horus heresy army (a double treat!!) He had this huge 20 man CCW wielding tactical squad complete with Apothecary and a preator with paragon blade. I had a lone tactical marine and a Deathwing knight squad and a Interrogator chaplain with the Mace of redemption.
Well, the knights won without a single casualty, and they broke and ran. My deathwing squad couldn't sweep them, but my lone tactical marine could. Brother Foley ended up slaughtering 12 hardened sons of horus and A praetor all by himself. He was given terminator honors and will be inducted into the ravenwing soon.

My favorite is still my GK Justicar who charged a dreadnought after the rest of his squad had been wiped out by shooting, he killed it and survived. This was back in 4th when GK had S6 weapons and a 6 on the glancing table could destroy a vehicle.

Horrific Howling Banshee

My entire army is dead except for my avatar, who has not taken a single wound the entire game (through good saves). My friend has an annihilation barge, a full squad of immortals, and Nemesor Zandrekh left. Needless to say, my Avatar slived through all of them like a hot knife through butter.
This was in the old codex, before he was good.

My favorite story is my brother was playing as DE against BA in an old Cityfight. My brother's Scourges destroyed his Land Raider in the first turn with a full squad of Death Company inside. The other guy threw a hissy fit about how unfair it was that Dark Lances treated armor >12 as 12. Basically at the end of Turn 2, the other guy's army had been wiped out and he refused to shake hands at the end of the game, muttering something about refusing to shake the hand of "xenos scum".....cool, dude.
My favorite moment for my army was way back in the days of 3rd edition and the fun Vehicle Design Rules. My brother and I had been trying some new ideas and I built a 40k B-25. Wiped out half my brother's army in the first turn with some bombs and heavy bolter strafing. Gotta love that close air support!

Here's to me in my sober mood,
When I ramble, sit, and think.
Here's to me in my drunken mood,
When I gamble, sin, and drink.
And when my days are over,
And from this world I pass,
I hope they bury me upside down,
So the world can kiss my ass!

Confessor Of Sins

I'd just gotten and assembled a Big Mek with Shokk Attack Gun. One of the first few games I fielded it in - maybe even the very first such game - on turn one, he rolled a 1,1, and poofed into nothingness. I remember laughing my ass off.
Another one was against my mom's Space Marines. For the previous few months, her Chapter Master and Honor Guard had been withstanding pretty much all my fire and marching across the table on foot and wiping out squad after squad of my Sororitas in melee. Then the 5th edition WD dex came out, and I'd been salivating over the Battle Conclave as a counter to those Honor Guard. First game I fielded them, they, Uriah, and a unit of Repentia met the Honor Guard and Chapter Master and a Tactical Squad in a big multi-combat in the middle of the board. The DCAs focused all their attacks on the Honor Guard and wiped them out in one round. The Repentia took out the Tactical Squad, who, combined with the Commander, only took out a Crusader or two in return. The Chapter Master died to about 15+ No Retreat! wounds after failing his Morale test. It was particularly satisfying, and yet horrifying at the same time.
