The reason I ask is because every other warp deity is worshipped uniform with very defined traits and from massive amounts of emotion and or worship (Tzeentch being a trick d*ck, Khorne being short fused, The Emperor being loving, etc) and the extent of gork and mork is that one is cunning and one is strong. That doesn't seem like enough to form a warp god does it?

Finally found my quote from a gym buddy born and raised in South Korea:
"It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us the freedom of the press.
"It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech.
"It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate.
"It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag."

They most certainly do exist. They do have defined traits, but unless you are an ork you can't really grasp it. As they say, one is cunningly brutal and the other is brutally cunning.

It seems like you are fairly new to 40k in general. I suggest more reading. The Emperor is definitely not "loving" as one of his main attributes. He's more of a well-meaning guy that can't really relate to his subjects, hence his draconian rule that made Stalin look like a pussy cat.

The essence of Gork and Mork is that they are ORKS.

Every single ork believes in what they stand for. Might makes right, and stick the boot in hard when you get a chance.

That one favors brute strength and the other cunning sneak attacks is a sideline, representing the duality of ork violence tendencies.

They are explicitly stated as being unkillably powerful divine powerhouses. Quite possibly they are the most badass things in the warp.

The reason I ask is because if they did exist they'd be able to possibly be stronger than Khorne depending on whether ork violence feeds him or not. They also seem to never do anything if they do exist compared to chaos gods whose talks with their champions are not that rare. It just seems like they would make a bigger splash if they existed.

Of course they do. If a single ork can make a metal tube shoot bullets on the power of faith alone, then certainly a hundred trillion orks all believing in something is strong enough to make a god be real.

And khorne just isn't the god of fighting. Lots of gods handle fighting. Khorne is the god of winning, and then rubbing everybody's face into it. That's why orks, in and of themselves to not automatically feed khorne. They only fight because of the joy of fighting, not necessarily over the joy of winning and then bragging about it.

Because if orks fed directly into khorne, then khorne LONG AGO would have conquered the galaxy.

Indeed, if the orks had a choice between ultimate victory and eternal stalemate they'd choose the latter. Khorne likes winning, blood, skulls, and martial discipline and honor.

Thus ork violence doesn't feed him as its different.

Orks don't care about winning, because they already win all the time anyway. If they win then they win, and if they die then they're dead so it doesn't matter, and if they run away it doesn't count as losing because they're just waiting to come back and ambush the enemy when they least expect it.

Khorne is the god of conflict from anger, to take a life in anger pleases Khorne most of all.

Orks don't take lives in anger, they do it because it's fun.

Gork and Mork are probably the most powerful Warp beings in 40k canon.

The Ork gods do do stuff, also.

There just isn't as much fluff about them, as they aren't Evil IOM baddies or their deities..

Ork gods literally possess every gargant when they fire up, and it acts as a form of mobile altar.

Ghazzy supposedly is advised by them, which is why he's so tactically brilliant, for an ork.

Snikrot's knives are blessed by Mork.

The Ork gods watch when Waaaghs happen also Better than HBO

They aren't particularly proactive on affecting the materium. They don't need to be. The Orks are already doing what they want done with vim and vigor!

They're ork gods. Running around having a chat with wee little warbosses or handing out blessings doesn't seem very... orky. They spend their time doing what orks love to do, fight. And since they love a good fight, and all the other warp goods are pretty weedy in comparison, they spend most of their time fighting each other.

Is that supposed to impress the gods? Orks only care about size, and Gork (or possibly Mork) is da biggest one there is!

If Orks can make their shoota's work just because they believe it will (and the louder bang it makes, the more powerful it is) then I would assume the ungodly amount of Orks that exist all believing in them would make them live.

They are also supposed to be the most powerful of all Warp beings. Wasn't there a fluff bit a while back that said one of them beat up Khorne? The Orks don't feed Khorne because Khorne wants the fighting for the emotion. Orks don't care about winning or emotion, they fight because it's really really fun. An Ork doesn't lose a battle, if they win they won. If they die, they died fightin'

Actually ,yes. Although entertain might be a better word.

Gork and Mork watch the Waaaghs as entertainment,

The bigger and meatier they are, the more they enjoy them

Yes they are real. The base emotions that they are based around are the emotions of the orks. Any emotion that a ork has, goes to Gork and Mork.

I thought it was stated somewhere that legend has it that Gork and Mork wander the warp doing exactly what you'd expect ork gods to do. Fightin' all the time (against other gods). And if they lose and die, they come back to life to fight again anyways, just like orks themselves (believe they) do.

In terms of emotions, Ork emotions seem to be a blend of Slaanesh and Khorne, really. Fightin' and dedicated to bloodshed but for the enjoyment of it. Most 40k Black Library writers don't seem to realize this though and just say Orks fall to Khorne or have Khorne be impressed by orks. Poor Slaanesh. No one ever remembers s/he exists except for drugs and sexual assault.

I don't agree with your assessment of khorne. khorne worshipers don't take joy in killing their foes per se, they don't relish a kill because such an act would feed into slaneesh's belly...khorne's followers' first priority is to spill blood and take skulls in the name of the skull throne. Period. This is always preferably done in melee combat, as it is more bloody. That is not to say though that khorne's followers want to inflict pain as a primary goal, as this would again feed slaneesh. They want to kill in whatever way spills the most blood, in the fastest way possible.

Hmmm mustn't be a true ork. The simple answer is of course they exist and relish the carnage that a war without end brings. Lets try to explain in Ewwmon terms. Just because we orks don't bow down - that's what we have Gretchin for. We don't ask for them to swing our choppa or guide our shots, if we did we wouldn't be orks. But look at the Orks, who do you think puts the speed in our red paint. Brings our space hulk to wonderful little planets just itching for a war. Inspires us to build Stompas and other destructive items. Helps us hear the Waaagh! cry. We don't ask for anything and Gork and Mork still give. So does your corn do that for you, or do you have to beg?

One is the god of Cunning Brutality, the other is the god of Brutal Cunning. Up to you to figure out which is which.

They definitely exist, and are the most powerful Warp Entities to exist. They have no use for the Great Game the Ruinous Powers are playing, though they soundly trounce all comers if any of the others decide to step to them personally.

Related question; what happens to the souls of Orks when they die?

I read (2nd ed. codex I believe) that they believe they visit their gods and fight with them for eternity. And since with Orks belief = reality...
