Could legions numbered II and XI about which Codex simply states being "all records expunged from the library", possibly mean I.e. ones like The Legion of the Damned or something similar?
I have been searching for some information about these "lost legions" and only wh40k.lexicanum has had some knowledge about previously mentioned.
So I ask if somebody knows something, or theories, fluff from books etc. please let me know.

There is an open thread about lost primarchs on the front page of this forum.

I was not asking about Primarchs, respectively only about lost legions!
But thanks for noting..

The Legion of the Damned isn't a m30 space marine Legion. Only Legions founded by the Emperor count as " Legions " which are numbered from 1 - 20 and 2 of them are " lost ".

Plus, the LotD is still active and not lost at all. Their bio signal may be different , slightly low maybe , but lost is only the chance of victory of anyone they oppose. There is no defeat recorded...

I think OP is suggesting that LotD could be one of the lost legions since no body knows where they came from.

Am i right in thinking one of these is the Alpha Legion?

Alpha Legion hasn't been deleted. Got a spot in the list you know.

The OP should invest more time into research, the LotD at the place he said he went: http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Legion_of_the_Damned#.UbSIadhacog. So Lexi has the info what the LotD is. Most recent WD article is the closest you can get to the truth about them.

The gathered data of the lost Legions at Lexi: http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Lost_legions#.UbSMtNhacog seems complete too.

I doubt we could add something new at this point. BL also slowed down and the past of the Legions before the HH feels left behind.
