Without pictures its pretty much impossible to work out what you're asking, I'm afraid. I'm assuming you mean Necrons, but I wasn't aware that "storm trooper" was a troop type available to Necrons.

Any chance of a bit more information?

Paint the parts before assembling. Other than that what you need is called "brush control" and that only comes from practice and care.
