Why do we not have a separate forum for Tv and Movies? We have one for video games.
This way some threads(Like the Dr. Who thread) dont disappear easily

It would really depent on the amount of traffic it would generate:

1) Are there a lot of movie/TV threads taking up space in existing sub forums.
2) Would a new subforum have adequate traffic to justify it.

How many movie/TV threads are currently in all the other subforum? I'm not sure I have ever seen that many of them. The two big ones that come to mind are the Dr. Who and the Anime thread in the OT, with the occasional movie thread thrown in for good measure.

Also, the my little pony thread. But other than that, not too many.

Threads on Star Trek and Superman had a pretty good run, as did Promethius, last year.

I wouldn't be opposed to something like that, but the traffic issue something that should be taken into consideration. Though I would assume that such a forum would have more traffic than the Wyrd forum

The basic reason is because video games are still games and although this is a forum dedicated to miniature wargaming, we also allow pretty much all kinds of gaming discussion (RPGs, boardgames, video games).

The off-topic forum was specifically created for non-gaming discussion that gamers still enjoy talking about (such as TV and movies, for example). It just so happens that a lot of people like arguing about religion and politics as well.

But yeah, the off-topic forum covers all non-gaming discussion, which includes TV and movies.
