The most recent thread in the "View Popular Threads" forum has been a small, locked thread about the new Eldar codex, since at least 13 hours ago. Is this feature WAD?

When you click that link, the default page you go to is the 'Recently Exalted Threads' list. So presumably that Eldar thread is just the last thread to be Exalted.

Well, it's still there. I'd hazard a guess that not enough people are exalting threads for this feature to really be worthwhile, but the admin obviously has better data than i do.

After a quick test, it looks like the 'recent exalted' list just either isn't updating, only updates periodically, our is using some criteria other than just which thread was most recently exalted...

It does not update in real time, I think it is on either an hourly or daily update cycle. The top exalted post will only update when it drops off the page (after 14 days since first post) or if it is overtaken by another thread being more exalted.

So that short, duplicate locked thread is the most exalted on dakka right now? And that's wad?

No, the most exalted thread on Dakka right now is STC_LogisEngine 's Alpha Legion modelling blog.

Again, that Eldar thread is at the top of the 'Recent' list, not the 'Top' list.
