Hi there everyone ! I'm in need of your advices to decide which of these two lists I'm going to buy. Yes, I know, I should buy what I like most and the style of play I want. The problem is, I like all the armies of 40k and all the styles, and as so, if I followed the previous stated advice, I would easily go bankrupt. So, I need to know, in your opinion, which of the two following list is the best for a ''rookie'' (I ain't really new at this, but I don't play often and even then, casual games). Here the first one (CSM):

So, which one should I pick in your opinion ?

The Necron list isn't legal - you can only have 20 warriors per squad.

Also, loading up a normal lord like that is not something I tend to do. With only 1 wound and no invul save they just die to easy to CC based units.

The 205lord on the other hand can be very nice. I have had mine do almost entire an game with a bloodthirster in CC.


I can't speak to the CSM list, but that's a whole lot of foot slogging warriors. If I go ground and would most certainly have a ghost ark, maybe two, that way repair barge could pick up my missed RPs.

Mono is okay but for the points you can bring two ABs which are going to do a lot more for you. You almost have to DS a mono and there are quite a few things that will tear it down. The portal usage after DS isn't something I've tested though.
