I still pretty much blow at making pictures really cant seem to get it right always seems to be too much light or my colors look muted and washed out so frustrating -.-

I have a battle force or w/e the fantasy box for ogre kingdoms is called figured id paint them up. The metal bits i'm doing in flat black and working up a highlight in dark grey really doesn't come through in the pictures no clue why again i think due to to much light. pants are varying in color the other one thats almost done with the big killy 2 handed sword looking thing has a deep red pants. For all the accessories like the tied bracelet or other cloth random things im doing in red along with the right hand/forearm.

Hope you like him! C&c is always welcome the goal is to get them all painted up to a decent standard and perhaps unload them as im moving to New Zealand so im working my way through stuff i dont reallllllllly wanna take.

Looking very good, I especially like the rust on the sword! I have the exact same problem with taking photos can never get it quite right.

Hooray ogres! You don't see them very often on here.

Looks good, and maybe its your camera, but the gutplate seems to blend into the skin tone a bit. Maybe darken it up a bit to add some contrast to it.

Great work all around!

I use a kind of tent made of plain white paper that lets the light through but diffuses it. seems to help and doesn't cost.

Nice ogre, I really like the green in his trousers.

I love ogres, they are just cool for some reason more variety in poses would be nice but still a fun looking army to me.

Here is an updated picture of the two guys, its not so much the camera but the photographer. I'm pretty new at taking pictures im working on manual settings from here on out the auto settings just ugh...

these are a bit blurry but the colors are more accurate...taking pictures is hard lol seems so easy -.-

I think they look good. Some nitpicking, cuz that's all there is to do:

-In the pants, the stitches should be a different color. It's hard as hell to paint, but realistically, they wouldn't have blah green pants and blah green thread.
-be careful matching the color of the gutplate to their own skin. From a half dozen feet away you can't see them, which defeats the purpose of painting them.

I don't know if you tried to make the blade look rusty, but that's very cool.

Thanks for the comment, yeah the black I didn't want it to look to flat and boring like black tends to be. ( I hate making something black)

I'll try making the stitching another color on the ones to come, usually pants and stitching match but I guess for interesting viewing of a model it may look better with another color. Maybe something like a muted brown would work for stitching.

About the gut plate, It honestly looks nothing like the skin irl, I'm a pretty awful photographer atm hence the blurryness -.-. I'll try to get a better picture of the ogres with a few new guys after i'm happy with the painting challenge photos . (brother is helping me with them now )
