Take bonus points for linking the NOIR sound track.

Death Korps of Krieg (or Iron Warriors, this song is perfect for a siege army)

This has been set as the Tanith First and Only's regimental march, but it'd do well for Rough Riders as well.

"It's a good day to die" from Starship Troopers suits the Guard really well. Mentions an eagle and dying and everything. All you have to do is replace "Federation" with "Imperium".

lol no. Hammerfall and basically every other power metal band out there is Eldar music for being the most flowery army in the game. Having "wolf" in the song title doesn't make it Space Wolf music.

This is Space Wolf music:

Also some other armies' music like Necrons:

The industrial influences and lyrics of this song really go well together with the Necrons.

and a song that just screams Chaos Space Marine music:

Chaos Daemons: 1750
Warriors of Chaos: 2000

I dunno...this sounds wolfy to me.

Spoiler:

I keep thinking of necrons whenever I hear this. I guess it could work for exterminatus as well, but I think it favors crons a bit more.

This is totally Black Templars

Heh, good point

I would say Tarot might be good for Space Wolves, but they are a bit too...dark. They fit Chaos a bit better, imo.

While I sat and painted I remembered this song, and thought it would fit a traitor guard army very well. More specific a blood pact army.

And this for my Dark Angels .

Not that I can seem to get embedding working properly from here, but:

Serious answer - Iron Maiden - Aces High
Comedy answer - Pointer Sisters - Jump (For My Love)

And a challenge of my own... someone find something for the Astral Claws...

Dang, so many videos it's lagging my browser. But I must save them all for future reference because 90% sound awesome...

This song sprung into my head immediately, not sure who would use it though. It's definitely a chaos space marine chapter, the "your god sent us to destroy" line could be talking about the Emperor. World Eaters maybe?

Legio Titanicus (there's some similarities there):

I will take the challenge to find one for Tau. This won't be easy.

Well, I give up. I couldn't find what I wanted (bamboo flute over hard dance) so I'll settle for this.

I don't do much metal for my armies, but for my Tau I have a few selections, that help put me in the right frame of mind.

Inspiration for my tau

Akira always has a nice vibe to it.

And a Little tron love for the more futuristic bent, of the Tau.

My Orks..speed freaks all the way.

And my Marines Malevolent..

And my Elysian-ish Airmobile troops.

and of course this old chestnut...

For me, Tau music is just about anything from Mirror's Edge. Calm, tranquil pieces interspersed with tinny, beat-heavy electronica. Try this:

"Hard pressed on my right. My centre is yielding. Impossible to manoeuvre. Situation excellent. I am attacking." - General Ferdinand Foch

This could also work for Fire-Tau;

Or this for Raven Guard;

Astral Claws;

Despite the Serbian performers and almost cheerful timbre, this is actually a Macedonian song about a witch who built their castle out of young men and women!

"That time I only loaded the cannon with powder. Next time, I will fill it with jewels and diamonds and they will cut you to shrebbons!" - Nogbad the Bad.

Nice call on the Tau suggestions. I will have to buy the Tron and/or Mirror's Edge (always wanted to play that game, never got around to it) soundtracks for painting music.

Here's one more for Noise Marines. This is the most ridiculous over the top noise metal type song I have in my collection. I'm not sure it's the hardest song per say, but it's the one that sounds the most like noise to me. Got to be in the right frame of mind to enjoy it:

So I've been thinking of some Eldar ones...

Iyanden:

What's on the battlefield? Ghosts 'N' Stuff.

Biel Tan:

Blades of Fury is as close to Swordwind (or Tempest of Blades) that I could find!

Saim Hann:

Couldn't resist!

Ulthwe:

(This one even has the line "Just let me know, where we go after the fall" )

Alaitoc:
