Just sitting around working on my wraithknight I wanted to see what the posing would look like so I blue tac it together. Thought you would like to see it:

So close to double handed grip...why not go all the way?

Cool running pose though!

Because the bulk of the body wont allow the arms to get there. it was annoying I wanted a 2 handed grip badly...

Maybe if you rotate it to the right a bit, the open hand can rest on the back of the blade?

I actually like the not quite a two handed grip, this looks like it is charging at a target and reaching it's second hand for a two handed grip. It's more dynamic this way. Now I'm thinking I might have to get a second Wraithknight so I can steal this idea. In a few weeks, after my wallet has stopped crying tears of blood.

I second this! It's as if he starting running in that moment and he's about to do a two-handed grip to destroy whatever he is charging. It looks REALLY good, nice one!

I had the same question. Although the shield shouldn't interfere with the overall pose.

These were my thoughts as well. I really want to see that second hand on the sword in this pose. Could you rotate the sword out so the butt of the sword rests on the palm of the open hand? Make it looks like he's using that as a fulcrum for extra force. Another thought would be to reverse the sword, make it looks like he's coming down from a jump, putting the sword through the top of a tank.

What you have there is awesome, just some random thoughts...

That is a nice action shot. If you wanted to bring both hands onto the hilt, maybe try some poses with a horizontal blade, or perhaps with the sword tip low and behind. Both are recognized stances in real combat techniques and might help clsoe the gap where the arm doesn't quite reach aroud the torso.

Very cool. I prefer the hands both on the hilt though.

The shield will be put on there when its all said and done. I havent figured out what guns to put on his shoulder yet.

for the swords i will be messing with it more to try and figure out if the other hand can make it to the sword, but after looking at it and seeing it I feel if gives a very dramatic pose and tells more of a story then if it was just 2 hands on a sword.

I will be going to games day this year with this. We will see how it turns out.

It's Eldar. They could probably make planets graceful enough to tip=toe on the moon.

Back to the model. LOVE the hand posing, looks much more dramatic than just having both hands on the hilt. Can't wait to see this painted!

That is a beautifully painted wraithknight. I have to say once painted I like the pose a lot more.

I love this model. The hand off the hilt definately adds a sense of movement to it, too!

It still doesn't have a Scattershield. :-( However, awesome model! I am currently considering arm poses for my Wraithknight as well ... this is good inspiration for the open hand usage.

With the way it was posed I couldnt fit the shield on his arm in any possible yah. Trust me I wanted the shield.

I was looking at the hand when I first got the kit and thought it was the worst looking part on the model. In all the pics Ive seen its just there making spirit fingers and it bothered me. After thinking for awhile I came up with 2 ways the hand wil work 1 is the way I did it here. action pose grabbing the sword. 2 is the wraithknight in a kneeling possition with the hand planted on the ground like he is stabilizing himself or about to.stand up. This pose would be great with one of the gun sticking straight up in the air. Another good pose in general would be him punching a vehical on the ground or open hand smashing a scout....

I agree on the "spiritfingers" problem. It is really irritating, but your ideas are very insightful. The tough part is when you want to use all the arms on one model.
