Hi Dakkanauts, I'm having a break from painting my Greenskins at the moment and have decided to paint up my sons SM for him. The problem being that a few of them were previously painted (badly) red, but now he has decided he wants blue ones. After explaining that as a follower of Celtic FC it is " impossible for dad to paint blue dudes" we came to a compromise and agreed on the colour scheme of the Brazen Claws. After that long intro my questions are .....
What would be a good colour for the cloaks and rope details on the captain models ( green? )
I also am not over keen on the Brazen Claws name and would like something with Pegasus in the name ( Sons of Pegasus, Pegasus Warriors etc) any suggestions?

Wings of Pegasus? It'd tie in with a lot of the symbols and icons and such if you're using the dark vengeance space marines.

Alan mate you read my mind, I spent this afternoon putting decals on the few that are finished and actually chose the white wing decal and decided on 'Pegasus Wings' myself. I really want to post pics but not sure how from an iPad ( I have a digi cam but Laptop down at mo).

Just go to your Dakka gallery, choose the upload link, then hit one of the choose file buttons and it lets you select a pic from your iPad gallery to upload.

In terms of chapter names have your son name them based off of something that he likes. If it sounds cool to your son run with it.

As for cloaks. They would more then likely be a darker color.

Dude it's easy to upload from an iPad. Simply type your message. Click on the attachments icon below it and choose take photo, or, existing photo. I've uploaded hundreds of photos this way. Just make sure the camera lens is in the top left corner when facing away from you(landscape style). Otherwise your images will be upside down or sideways.

Thanks for the link, we like the fluff of the brazen claws just not the name. Neither my son or I game but my son would like to learn and is in a rush for me to finish so he can take his own painted army, I thought if we renamed the chapter but kept the fundementals he could in theory add any cool sm mini he likes as he gets into the game as its his chapter and his fluff.

Pegasons?

That's a good way to do it. I use to play SM and I named my chapter the Battle Angels. I worked them as a generic SM army and more or less used them as a Ultra Marine successor chapter. I enjoyed it.
