Now that the NHL Finals are over, the members of the winning team get to spend a day with the Stanley Cup. Now, my question to the fellow Dakkaroos: What would you do if you had the option to hang on to the Stanley Cup for a day?

Personally, I'd borrow my parent's pontoon boat and go fishing with it all afternoon, and fill the Cup with ice and my beer of choice. That evening, I'd have a hockey themed party, and drink the largest rum & coke possible out of it. Ah, that would be a day to remember for sure...Another idea would be to have an Apocalypse game of 40k, and use the cup as terrain....so many choices!

The Stanley Cup is just begging to be a dip bowl

I would take the cup to Ottawa and after a most enjoyable evening of dancing and fine appetizers, lose Lord Stanley's Cup in the Rideau Canal.

I sure hope you guys at least wash this Stanley guy's cup before you eat or drink out of it.

I would make it larger, fill it like a hot tube and spend the day with a Ms. in it.

I would spend the first half of the day cleaning that damn thing after all of the decades of players that have probably unleashed some bodily fluid into that thing... And then I'd probably find someone to make a nice mold of it, and then cast it in metal

I'd take it to dinner and tell it about my volunteer work in Africa.

I would take it to a nice seafood dinner and then never call it again.

I'd sell the privilege to someone else who actually cares about hockey, presumably for a non-trivial amount of money. I'm sure they're are some hardcore hockey fans who would pay a couple thousand dollars for a chance to play with the thing for a day. They'd enjoy more than I would and hey, I like money.

Wear it like a giant Pope hat.

I think this is actually one of the cooler sports traditions out there.

I'd put it on my front lawn filled with ice and beer and let hockey fans swing by and hang out with me and Stanley's Cup.

1) Morning: Go to the largest Children's Hospital with the CUP for meet/greet/photo opportunities with the kids.

2) Afternoon: Throw a big BBQ party with family and friends.

3) Evening: Go bounce around the local strip joints for drinking and good times.

Why do you need the cup for the last two? Nothing about your post mentions what you'll be doing with the cup

'cuz... my choice of beverage will be in that cup for the night.

You need a big plate for the salt rim though.
