Well, unsurprisingly I have found that with a new job comes less free time, however said free time is managed much more efficiently... To that end, I have maintained quite a nice pace on my IG project, which I will be showcasing in installments here (This army is WIP...)

Any reason for the eye lenses on your gas masks being different?

This is a lovely little platoon you've got here. It kills me that you don't paint the eyes on your Guardsmen, but I can understand why not. Harker's boys and the faux-Vickers are fun little additions too. Good work!

bad ass! I think an easier way to do skin would be to paint any skin areas in flat white and than do a thin wash of sepia followed by a thin wash of earthshade, I think you'll like the results. Keep up the good work these are fantastic!

Where did that gunship come from. I really like it. Do you have any size comparison pics?

Why are the gas mask lenses red and blue? Are they trying out a 3D film or something? xD Other than that, really awesome mate, keep on going!

Nicely painted stuff, I like the technique on the gunship and the little writing on the cockpit hatch.

regarding the red and blue lenses, It was halfway between old school 3d, and the other half for different lenses for different wavelengths/purposes (sort of like the targeting lens slides out over the "shooting" eye or stuff like that. I mainly did it because IMO it looked pretty cool...

I would like to go over the skin and do a few touch ups, mainly the eyes and moustaches (I think eyes will help break up the skin a lot)

As for the barrels, I will!!! I just dont have any bits big enough, I only have the 1mm one, and it will look way too small on those Vickers guns/heavy bolter (I know I could use a round file/knife, but I dont want to risk cocking up...) but thank you for not letting me forget!

As for the gunship, Its one of the gorgeous Puppets War Dragonfly models, with the addition of two FW punisher cannons, and an old cut-up Podracer engine. Its a great kit (assuming no casting issues) and I have two more beside me looking at me I think one will be a missile-boat variant, and one is going to be pulling sky-talon duty, along side something much bigger which is coming (eventually).

Thank you much for the scale shot. I have always considered those puppets war models. But, never knew what size they were. Do you have any idea how it would compare to a Storm Talon?

Body size is near enough on par with a talon, but the wingspan is far too wide, and the tail is too long...
