Nice work but the paint, particularly the blue areas, is incredibly thick in places. In future it'd be best to apply much thinner layers instead of a thicker single one.

yeah... technicaly this was my 4th model ever painted and i put it toghether with epoxy glue....anyway it sucked so once i got a bit better i redid it. unfortunately yeah the paint was thick in areas, and there was alot of rubber cementing/ caking of the dried epoxy. Though second time around i did thin em nicely

It is a valiant effort, and I agree the paint is really thick in a lot of areas... But since it is only the 4th model you've done, it's pretty impressive.
Question though: is that supposed to be rust or mud?

the stuff at the bottom is oil soaked mud, the stipling at the top is rust. thx scooty.

The rust itself looks great, however it looks as if it is on top of the blue paint rather than coming from beneath it.
