I'm looking to speed up my painting of Blood Angels using my Airbrush(and to make 'em look nice) but I haven't been able to settle on a method yet. Could anyone give me tips/instructions on what colours and method that use?

Same goes for painting Eldar as Mymeara.

Thanks in advance guys.

Prime, base coat, gloss coat, wash, Matt varnish, paint highlights and details. Gloss again Matt to preference.

I find that the gloss before the was adds so much more protection to the models paint if gaming constantly.

Red would be a good place to start...

In all seriousness, that is up to you. How do you want them to look? Bright red or dark red?

If you check out my Mymeara plog I list the paints that I use. It is still ongoing and there are a few test models but it can give you a good idea.

The perfect Blood Angel recipe? ...I've been painting red marines since 1989 and I don't have it haha... I keep changing it and half updating and changing again etc etc... But for a start:

Prime black, then airbrush basecoat with the FANTASTIC new GW color (wazdakka red). IF you are planning to shade/highlight with the airbrush I'd use straight black for shade and a combo of Liqutex Crimson Red Ink and GW Evil Sunz Scarlet for most of the highlight with a TINY tiny bit of GW Wild Rider Red for an extreme highlight (too much of this one will make your red marines - orange).

Most often it's easy to base and add a quick highlight layer with the AB then do the rest with a regular brush.

I prime using a spray black primer, Krylon indoor outdoor. Then I airbrush Mephiston red. Then I airbrush scarlet red. After that its hand detailing, highlights and washes.
